Can i use the internals from my current headlight in a black 172 case ? or will it not fit, Anyone tried ?

Just a quick one, is it welded in ? mates stripping his for Track use and were gonna spend a day playing :) also would it be a good idea ?

I have a 182, got a new aerial. (shark fin one) however gone to fit it and cant. I can peel back the headlining enough to get to the bolt but cant find the right spanner size or get any movement. Help, i'm thinking removing the headlining but im worried it will never go back, anyone...
