Noticed this under the drivers engine mount on my 172 P2, but my 172 Cup doesn't have it...what is it and what's its purpose?

Problem solved...new battery did the trick. Surprisingly!

Well I've changed the throttle body and pedal so it's tracing the wiring next, checking for breaks. It's got a Sigma alarm/immobiliser, too which I'm not sure about.

Update: Swapped the pedal off my Cup with no effect. My Cup ran fine with the 172 pedal too. Back to the drawing board!!! Could a poor battery or dodgy immobiliser possibly cause this? Other than that i'm going to have to trace the wiring back.

Update: Just swapped the throttle bodies between my 172 and 172 Cup. Still not firing up and the Cup ran alright with the t.b from the 172. Hmmm....pedal maybe?

Tried to order the RS Tuner with the airbag module for my 172 Cup and when it came to the check out it asked for a 'MUC' code...any ideas? Couldn't find it on the site anywhere!

My 172 Cup came with 205's and they didn't catch. Although no spacers tho...quiter close but no probs at all.

Any advice on a good, trustworthy place to get this done? Don't mind travelling for a good job! Also, any ideas on a price? Car's on 61k but dephaser is noisy as f*ck! Figured i'd best get the lot done while i'm at it! Cheers in advance.

just remembered that the drivers seat had a new airbag fitted after it had popped, so would that affect the seatbelt tensioner thingy? Any ideas how to get round this? Not that arsed about airbags as i`m going to replace the steering wheel soon with an OMP or MOMO item

Hi, fitted 182 half leather/alcantara seats to my 172 Cup, fitted the wires that were previously on my Cup seats and now have the service and airbag lights on. Shoukld i fit the main airbag plug as well for the side bags? Or could it be dodgy wiring on the new seat? I`m pretty sure it`s the...

Hi, i`m about to fit the above...as we all know, the 172 Cup has no side airbags in the seats...would there be a problem fitting airbag seats from the 182? Anyone done this? As you can imagine, i don`t want them going off unexpectedly! ;)
