    The Cars Spotted Appreciation Thread

The SCD Secret Meet is being held today with a few Carrera GT's in attendance https://scdsecretmeet.com This owner is there and seems to have no concerns over the recall issue! https://www.instagram.com/jc980cgt/

    Westfield ceased trading🙁

People associate Westfield with the sports/kit cars, but there are nine other associated businesses, for example Chesil Speedster 356 Replicas and Autonomous vehicles. I've read elsewhere that some directors benefited from Covid grants, so all may not be as it seems.

Ladder on the roof, perhaps a central London handyman? Excellent TAX, MOT, ULEZ, and CCZ free motoring!

    The Cars Spotted Appreciation Thread

It could be that they're partly leather - I'm unsure. The previous owner gave the backstory when it was shared on the DDK Porsche forum. It was submerged up to a point on the windscreen, so all the electrics and mechanicals will have suffered. I imagine this kind of thing attracts foreign buyers...

    The Cars Spotted Appreciation Thread

An almost great looking 993 Turbo, though likely not for much longer. Was previously for sale by Hexagon Classics, who are known for stocking great examples of cars, then waiting until their high asking prices are reached. This had less than 13,500 miles and was up for £200,000, but damaged in...

    London Concours 2021

I also went to this yesterday afternoon. Full ticket price was expensive, but there were a couple discount codes easily found online. The Concours of Elegance is a similar event taking place in September, but further out of London, so perhaps a bit bigger with more to see...

    25 Years Ago Today...

Digging up this thread as Nicky Grist is selling an assortment of panels from the 2001 Ford Focus RS WRC that crashed and lost Colin the World Championship - good write up from him in the advert about the event. https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2001-ford-focus-rs-wrc-body-panels-ex-mcrae-grist

What's your favourite car related YouTube channel?

This is a great video so long as you don't mind subtitles - the mechanics attitude is really good too! Skip to around 50mins for all the sideways action

    25 Years Ago Today...

There is an excellent Collecting Car's podcast which covers Colin McRae - some great stories, highlight being one when his dad wrecked a car whilst testing a rally stage jump which no other drivers were attempting, yet Colin was convinced could be done. Ultimately in the race, there was a huge...

    New owner of a V6.

My dad was part of the development team for these whilst working for TWR. A group of them had fun driving some down for the press launch in France - hot cabins and not so quick but great road presence! Pretty sure at least one press driver went off the road.. there was also a yellow development...

    Apple event - 9th September

If you're considering upgrading to a 6 then surely the improved case is reason to just go straight for a 6S - bit of extra cash but peace of mind you won't have the hassles of getting a new phone when the thing inevitably bends in your back pocket...

Anyone for uncompetitive, out-of-date F1 tech?

If you can show an interest and get a tour of their facility you'll no doubt come across some interesting stuff that isn't pictured... Much of the technical development on the V6 Clio was done at Caterhams Leafield site. Got a tour around there a few years ago after Super Aguri had cleared...

    iPhone 4S - How much ££?

I paid £280 for mine which is mint and on O2 off a guy locally through Gumtree. They can go for up to £330 on eBay with a decent advert however you then have the potential worry of scams and 10% fees to deduct

    Photographing Niagara Falls

If you are heading over to the Canadian side this restaurant offers great views overlooking the falls. Didn't go myself but a couple friends did and got some great pictures. There are also a couple big casinos in the town if you fancy getting out the cold for a while! Probably around -20 when I...

    My new car... meet Ruby.

Fantastic car! My Dad used to test the cars as they came off the production line (driven thousands...) and I had the chance to get out in a couple test cars he bought home. One was a DBS just before they were released in the same color as yours - Looked great in the flesh and covered miles so...

Above will just be a car used for testing/abusing by guys in prototype department to iron out potential problems before customers start finding...

Rapid increase in fuel consumption, 400miles per tank down to 300miles

Cheers for the replies, good stuff to go on. Just had a search and it wouldn't be that expensive to replace either of those but is there a clear way of telling which might be faulty? Any visible signs if they were removed or a simple test that can be done... other than a proper diagnostics...

Rapid increase in fuel consumption, 400miles per tank down to 300miles

Hey, Would really appreciate some advice on this as the cars suddenly developed a fault somewhere in the fuel system I'd presume whereby a full tank would normally last around 400miles which is the weekly commute, this has gone down to a little over 300miles per tank. The only other sign of...
