^guide on page 2
il look for a pic. 7mat posted one on the trophy forum somewhere
did...well will for me. i'm quoted around £1400 for a renewal now (being 20) but with greenlight (who only insure people over 21) its £900 something for when im 21. It may not be much of a saving if i went to the same company who would have insured me at 20 and 21 but it is if you go to some...
you'l need a ramp to change the spring. but for someone who knows what they are doing it wont take long at all. you will need spring compressors. max 20 mins work to change the springs.
yes it will. it doesn't even change emissions, its for noise really and is only needed in Sweden as far as i know. if you were to add an induction kit/CAF the valve is bypassed anyway.
oh right. i understand now. so in essence the police can't actually prosecute for the fact you dont have a de-cat, but can if you fail an emissions test?
also does that mean if you were to crash with a de-cat, the insurance would still be valid along with the mot. assuming the engine was...
^^ so by taking the cat off you are therefore making the CO2 emissions illegally high and therefore you car isn't legal? why do VOSA have emission testers......because people have de-cats.
i think there needs to be a comparison thread. maybe with pics/vids of all the systems (either all with or all without a decat) and made a sticky. and anyone who has RR'd before and after should also post that up. personally i think the gains between having a milltek, YS, BTB would be minimal as...
urgh, opened a can of worms there mate! if there are any meets near you, go to one and have a look at peoples systems thats the best way. YS are good, but loud. I have a Milltek which i think is a good medium and i like the look of the pipes and plus that fact it wasnt too expensive. look at the...
yes would be fine(edit: well it is on a 182, didnt realise you ment 172) gain isn't much so ive heard....but im sure someone will fill you in. do a search loads on it
no its not that big-a job. 20 mins max if you dont know what your doing. incentive to join the club i suppose! just a few torx screws....! pull the two cards off the pillars undo all scews and slowly ease the dash off. do a search you'l probably get your answers as i cant be arsed to go through...
standard dampers will be fine mate. i think for the track go for prolines. my mate has them off here and seems to love them. i have sportlines, which lower slightly but are still progressive damping. haven't been in/driven a car with pro's to tell the difference though
Don't leave it alone. take it out, 5 minute mod and worth it.

so you think we should push for more? the last service was only at 38,000 and the cars done just over 40,000. but i think the service was near on a year ago. my sisters only just got the car too, just passed...had it 3 weeks then this happens!! they've admitted it wasnt put...
there are only bolts in holes two and three, if counting from the right. to take the inlet and phlenum off...id recommend a mechanic who knows what he's doing.
:D cheers dude. just wanted to know if they try and kick up a fuss, however nothings been said about what happens next, think we are going there tomorrow.
