    UCH Repair

I had no problems until a water leak soaked it! Certainly not the fault of the repair though, it was fine till then.

Trying to turn around an RB 182

Yep, and after seeing this thread tonight I'd have to agree: http://www.cliosport.net/threads/new-years-day-pics-of-the-rb.802967/#post-11290869

Trying to turn around an RB 182

I bought the material on EBay. Ive just looked for the link and can't find it, I wish I could though as I want more to do the roof lining! I'll keep searching and post it up if I recognise it though.

Trying to turn around an RB 182

The RS Tuner did clear the SERV light that was caused by the airbag although you do have to purchase the airbag add on for the module from the website. I also used it with the ABS add on to bleed the brakes. It's been a brilliant bit of kit and I haven't even loaded the remap from it yet which...

Trying to turn around an RB 182

Woohoo, it only bleeding passed! He had to rev the nuts off it to get the fast idle emissions to pass so I'll monitor the engine closely but I'm well chuffed. Can finally start checking out track day bookings. Cheers to all who've helped out so far with bits and pieces, I'll update when...

Trying to turn around an RB 182

Finished the small MOT jobs today (checking lights, horn etc..) and cleared the code for the Airbag warning light since changing the drivers seat using the RS Tuner. Also trimmed the A Pillars. Didn't use the genuine Alcantara but the cheaper version worked pretty well. Definitely fancy...

    Matt's PH1 172 Restoration Project

Awesome work, the finish the gtechnic stuff brings back looks outstanding, going to have to pick some up.

Trying to turn around an RB 182

It's a 2004 with the gated manual box. Only has pretty basic traction control so is very raw to drive compared to the later models - it revs up to about 8600rpm and the noise is something else. Funnily enough I have more pics of the Clio, I should take more while I still have it (promised...

Trying to turn around an RB 182

Bloody hell, you must have eagle eyes! It's a 360 spider, awesome bit of kit.

Trying to turn around an RB 182

Took a couple of pictures of how the 106 rear belt is attached. Poor quality sorry as it's so dark out at the moment - they are took under portable floodlight! This angle is from the back looking forward - it's attached to the rear subframe mounting bolt and the rear of the (not fully...

Trying to turn around an RB 182

Picked up a Peugot 106 rear seat belt buckle on eBay. It's held in place on the rear subframe bolt, I'll post a pic up tomorrow when there's some light. It lies flat on the floor when not in use so you do have to reach down a bit further to get it but it's not much of a stretch.

Trying to turn around an RB 182

Cheers for the comments. The dent kit is the Am-Tech Dent Repair Tool kit. Only seven pounds on Amazon and it comes with everything you need, glue gun, release agent etc.. Not sure what it would be like on larger dents but for car door dings it pulls them right out, not perfect, but you have...

Trying to turn around an RB 182

The slider rails are in at the moment, they come with the Clubsport seat. The seat can also be attached without them. They are easy to fit with the only work being I had to take out the heater duct for the rear footwell. This just unclips so I can revert it all back to stock whenever.

Trying to turn around an RB 182

I used this stuff: It's hard to get a picture to show how the colour looks. The photo above of the door release and handle shows the difference between the original colour and the paint but it's not that close a match. The dash picture (hazard light panel and the stereo) shows the...

Trying to turn around an RB 182

Time for a quick update as I'm now getting to the end of the jobs that failed the MOT. As the car has persistent leak problems that were getting worse (the passenger footwell was full of water), the car was stripped down on the drive - carpets and underlay out, dash top off. It was a...

    Windscreen replacement

Had mine done this week by Autoglass. I checked the policy (Esure) and NCD is not affected as there are no electronic aids as an integral part of the screen (Ford heated screens maybe?). The Clio just has the plastic clip for your existing rain sensor. Cost £100 excess and the guy did it in an...

    Domes Clio resurrection

Good going so far - I've spent way more on mine than it's worth but I now know loads about the car and have more confidence in the bits that have been done (that is - nearly all of it!). I reckon I'll never sell it. Everything you could possibly need is on this forum - if it's not in the guide...

    Interior grab handles/switch surrounds

Well, they've been painted now. The finish isn't quite as good as the original (the lacquer makes it quite glossy) and the colour is darker but they are a whole lot better than they were. The non-sport option would sure have taken a whole less time.

    Interior grab handles/switch surrounds

As it happens mine were the same. I'm stripping them down and spraying them with plastic primer, then a metallic gun-metal colour paint, then clear lacquer. I colour matched as close as I could but it won't be perfect. I'll post up a picture of the results when I'm done this week, so far I've...

Trying to turn around an RB 182

That takes it to where it is now. Which unfortunately is off the road again. Nine MOT fails. Nine. Now I should have done the basic checks before booking it in but I chanced it and this is what it got: Battery insecure (my fault, forgot to refit the clamp) Windscreen washer provides...

Trying to turn around an RB 182

I started again in the summer - time for a suspension overhaul. The steering has always been vague in the centre and replacing the steering rack bushes hadn't cured it. As the car is intended for track days (if it's ever roadworthy enough..) it's now fitted with PMS top mounts, standard Cup...

Trying to turn around an RB 182

Hello everyone, It's been quite a while since I updated this thread as I walked away from fixing it up for a while. I found myself under the car, bleeding brake lines in December, in the dark and cold. There wasn't much fun to be had skinning my knuckles by portable floodlight so I quit for...

    UCH Repair

I used them a few weeks ago. It was turned around fast, issues all fixed and it came sealed with warranty stickers which gives me some confidence that any follow up problems would be addressed if covered by their guarantee.

    Steering problem following suspension refresh

I would have though that too but they are also new on recently. I've had a look under it today and the OS balljoint is not seated correctly into the hub. Only a couple of mm out compared to the other side which is in nice and snug. Only problem now is it won't go in any further and I've no...

    Steering problem following suspension refresh

I've just replaced the following on my FF182: Standard wishbones Standard cup shocks front and rear Cooksport springs PMS top mounts After fitting I've had a full geo carried out within spec for the car. However, it's clearly not safe to drive as when I turn left or right, at about a 45...

    RSTuner ABS bleed

I did mine a couple of weeks ago and had this issue. It worked for me if I entered the bleed procedure pop-up window, then clicked 'Activate ABS pump' then as soon as the procedure ended (when the noise stopped) clicked the 'bleed brake' button for whichever corner. To do the next one I had to...

    Brake Woes

Thanks, after looking at the RStuner kit and liking the idea of being able to read the codes and putting the 98Ron map on, I've ordered one. This will bleed the brakes using the ABS module so hopefully will get rid of the air. After pushing through another litre of fluid with the eezibleed...
