Subscriptions... what you got!?

Inspired by this video...

What subscriptions do you have? I absolutely hate them! I will do whatever it takes to avoid them to be honest... my wife paid for a load but has recently done a cull, and we're left with just Netflix & Spotify. I use Netflix because it's there, but torrent everything else 👀 Spotify I use maybe 2-3 times a year.

Prime was handy, but no big loss really. The one I do miss is Which? as that was good being able to see the full product reviews etc.

The only thing I do pay for myself is Apple Fitness+ but luckily they have an annual payment available so I think that counts!

Too many for my liking but probably less than most people:

Sky (inc Netflix)
iCloud mid tier
Google One
Strava
Zwift (winter only)
Spotify
YT Premium (although currently on the trial, can't see me cancelling it as it's awesome)

Subscriptions I just dip into on trials when I want them, never actually paid:
Apple TV+
Paramount

I borrow Prime and Disney, wouldn't pay for them if I had to though.

The ones I pay for I think I get value from, I use them all a lot.

Girlfriend has Disney+ because it used to be free with the TV package but the offer expired recently, and she also pays the TV and internet package

Yes, which obviously can be blocked on android/computers but I never found a way to do it on my smart tv which is how I like to binge YT these days.

Spotify, who have emailed tonight saying its going up to £19.99 for premuim family that 2 of us use now 🤦.
Disney I never watch.
Prime.
PlayStation plus.
Discovery plus. That was just about all I watched on sky so the £66.01 saved a month covers all the other s**t I never use.

That's it - we've cut back massively on subs just to save some cesh whilst the OH is on maternity.

We sacked Prime off as we rarely watch anything on there, we rotate Netflix and Apple TV but let a list of shows build up so we can binge them then swap over (subbing neither of them atm). We borrow Disney+ from family, Sky (go) from friends, and majority of TV shows we watch currently are on iPlayer and ITVX.

Netflix - Whatever the mid tier is. 2 screens.
NowTV Cinema - Deal was going on around Christmas. £4.99 per month for 6 months. Will be chucking it in May when it’s done.
