Just be careful with the vmaxx. I had them on my BG for 2yrs with no problems. Bough a set for my ph1 and they leaked after 1000 miles. Both bought new. I believe they had a bad batch.

Hopefully you won't have this issue.

  2004 Clio 182 cup
Spent hours on here doing my homework an they seem to have a pretty good following, plus one of my friends has them on his road/race 182 cup witch I've drove an it feels good to me.

cliosport.net some great information especially the guide's section. I picked up some
Here's mine, still requires a bit of a tidy up but they are great cars, can't ever see me parting with it.

Haha, I wish!! It's a friend of works that we do some bits for. He collects old memorabilia (has s**t loads of expensive stuff!) and we helped him with a old Indian motorcycle coin ride-on machine from 1950's.

We unloaded it from hes van and I parked up at the side and thought it would be a good picture moment!

Picking one up tomorrow! Always wanted one and a straight cup RB has come up for sale at a good price. Have got an iceburg 172 "back to standard" project on the drive at the moment......

but racing blue.

Here is one I picked up last week, I missed the handling of my old 106XS so wanted a new small french hatch. It is actually on the first page of this thread from 2008, Anyone who has any info on the car let me know. A few problems with it but will be sorting out a progress thread.

It's very wet under the passenger seat, goes to the edge of the door so need to check where all the drain holes are. It also seems to be leaking fluid, I filled it up and 2 days later, only driving it once it is back down to the min line, it seems to sit on the line of the join on the bottle so it's possible the expansion bottle is actually leaking at the join. (I think) not sure if the water bottle the water under the passenger seat is related yet.

I'd check the guttering on the scuttle panel bud. Normally when there full up with crap, the water finds another way and ends up in the footwell.

Also, get yourself a kangoo bottle off ebay. About £10. Renault want nearly £50. Remember to keep your original lid though.

it's got near enough FSH, belts were done 4k ago and 97k on the clock. Paid 1800, seemed a good price when looking at other similar, there are a few more problems that I didn't notice though ... you live and you learn.

Thanks Dr jeckyl, I will get one ordered. It makes sense if it was the bottle as it always ends up sitting just before the join.

She was owned by a member at one point, as a number plate search brings up his profile. Came with over 4 grands worth of receipts (most from engine dynamics) and belts about 3 years away from needing to be done. Pulls well, sounds nice due to custom exhaust. Quiet at low revs and moderate at full chat.

Haven't had much time with her as of yet. Went for laser wheel alignment this morn, was pretty much spot on.

Got him to check the tyre pressures as well and one was only on 6PSI! The others were around 4/5 PSI under what they should have been. Thought it felt a bit drifty. Drives lovely and handles a lot better now. The laser guy also noticed an oil leak. Not sure where from. So will need to be investigated. Seller never mentioned this, but then again he might not have known. Doesn't seem major and the oil level is still pretty much on point.

Cleaned it (not waxed though, no time today). Which I HATE doing. As you always notice scratches/small dents etc that you wouldn't have noticed before, and then you can't stop seeing them after. This was no exception. Few I knew about from what the seller said, but a few that wasn't and now is burned into my vision every time I look at it lol. So that is also on the agenda to be sorted.

Interior though is pretty perfect! Even if it is the poverty spec.

So after the above is rectified, plus a new set of wheels because turinis, it will be staying as is. I don't drive it Monday to Friday as I have a work van and don't park in car parks either, I'm hoping it's worthwhile to get the bodywork up to scratch. As I never really put the car in a situation where it could be hit. (Touch wood)

For the price I paid I expected bits to do to get it up to a standard i'd be happy with. So all in all I'm not disappointed with the purchase :)
