If it's the cambelt then there would be damage to piston and properly the head as well. It is NOT wear that bent a con rod, that's impossible and they do not wear over time.
I would write to the garage and see if they will put that in writing.

Lookers Renault serviced my Clio did not check anything under the bonnet (service plan and not enough miles for oil change) oil, coolant and brake fluid ALL low.
Then they did a WINTER check in January washer fluid ran out 24 hours later...
There was some talk of replacement headlights for the Clio 4 with zenons and led's. they appear to be made in Turkey and I can't find and proper info.
My understanding is that Zenons need to have self leveling.

Mine is averaging between 32 and 35 mixed driving. Just about to drive to Spain and I would expect to get
34 to 38. Ive got the cup pack and although a bit firmer than the GT line it's ok.
If the gearbox in full auto mode and you let it do it's thing then it's "ok" if you are in auto and use the paddles then it can be caught out. Sport mode in manual I think is OK.
