If it's the cambelt then there would be damage to piston and properly the head as well. It is NOT wear that bent a con rod, that's impossible and they do not wear over time.
I would write to the garage and see if they will put that in writing.
Why should he pay for it? Too many dealers are rubbish.
Lookers Renault serviced my Clio did not check anything under the bonnet (service plan and not enough miles for oil change) oil, coolant and brake fluid ALL low.
Then they did a WINTER check in January washer fluid ran out 24 hours later...
There was some talk of replacement headlights for the Clio 4 with zenons and led's. they appear to be made in Turkey and I can't find and proper info.
My understanding is that Zenons need to have self leveling.
I also cannot find a web site
Mine is averaging between 32 and 35 mixed driving. Just about to drive to Spain and I would expect to get
34 to 38. Ive got the cup pack and although a bit firmer than the GT line it's ok.
If the gearbox in full auto mode and you let it do it's thing then it's "ok" if you are in auto and use the paddles then it can be caught out. Sport mode in manual I think is OK.
I'm on a campaign :- When you have a " no fault " claim against you, most times your insurance company will put your premium up for the next 3 or 4 years. It does NOT

I'm well past retirement age and still can't get the yobo out of the driving seat. Just bought Clio 4 RS Cup. Mad when you want to be, calm at other times
I did 2 longish trips in my GT Line this year Poland and Spain, seats are really comfortable (leather) Just changed for the RS same seats and goes like stink. But you should try both
Ahhhhhh The thorny question of " protect or not to protect"
Depending on how old you are the extra premium charged will vary. BUT is it a rip off.
The insurance company will tell you that's it's a good thing, what they will not tell you is that if you
have a fault or no fault accident the...
I agree, people who are criticising are using other peoples opinions. Go and test yourself. The engine is brilliant and the handling has not been is good so it all comes down to the gearbox.
Sooooo it's quicker than a manual BUT if you are in auto and use the manual override it can get a...
I've just swopped my GT Line for an RS Cup mpg is a little down on the GT but 32/35 if you keep to 70/75 however if you press on ?????? Earlier this year I drove the GT to Poland and then Spain the seats were really comfy (leather ) drove from Spanish border to North Essex one day. The RS...
I have just changed my Clio GT line for a 200T EDC. Both are really comfortable , I have driven to Poland and Spain this year (retired lol)
I don't have a problem with the gear change. The RS has a multiple down change feature, so pull the left hand paddle when in manual
and braking, the box...
