I've heard of this with boxsters, my wife's one has the same issue just below the air vent, apparently there a piece of foam padding on the inside of the panel which absorbs water over time then can rust the panel! So I would def recommend having the rusted section cut out and ask them to remove...

As above really, needs to keep the polisher moving, sounds like he's kept it in one place for too long which has caused the melting

I remember your car mate, went in for little defects and the paint repairs got bigger and bigger as they cocked it up so much right? Buy yeah holloways are/were a complete dive of a bodyshop. Like has been said though, try to find out the name of said bodyshop it has gone to and call directly

Yeah your looking at 150-200, really depends on the condition of the bumper, if it needs repairing it will be more, if it just needs stonechips it will be less :)

Where in Hampshire are you based? I work at a bodyshop in newbury if it's not too far for you, will ask tomorrow for a rough price. Probably would be quicker to buy a secondhand one and have resprayed. What's wrong with the one on the car?

No trick, just unbolt the hinges on the new bonnet and bolt it back on the car

Arse of a job, Skirt, bumper, grill, and headlight out for that cos one of the screws is fastened from under the wing rather than on top
