Its come time to replace all 4 tyres on my ph1.
Ive been using toyo t1rs for the last 8 years. Theyre a good tyre. Offer plenty of grip. But always wear out on the side walls first.
The car is lowered. But the geometry is set up right.

This light used to come on, on my wifes old 1.2. Found out that the earth strap from them gear box to the body was breaking. As it snapped one day and wouldnt start. Light never came back on ever since i fitted a new strap.
Worth looking at.
I had this for months. Replaced aload of stuff.
In the end i got someone to rev it for me while on the ramp.
Found that one of the springs on the manifold to cat joint on the exhaust had snapped. And the bolt was just hanging down rattling on the exhaust.
I have a db meter if your near gloucestershire.
and the phone apps are junk. As i compared several to my meter and they were miles off.
my car read 96db on my meter and read 92 at castle combe
Combes better with less cars out. Ive done track days with combe them selves who let 20 cars out at a time for 15min sessions.
And javelin who let 12 cars out but open pit lane. So you get less conjestion behind slower cars.
Also theyve resurfaced most of the circuit. So in the wet youve got...
I replaced the cam belt and dephaser pulley at the weekend.as the pulley was rattling like crazy.
And the noise has gone.
for anyone else with this problem.
Check the spark plugs are tight. Mine have come loose a couple of times even at the correct torque.
And makes that sound when they are loose.
also seen it on a few other cars, where it sounds alot more serious then that.
