Jeez, in that case mine is actually too loose! Was just fearing for all the bearings thinking I'd overtightened it.
Thanks for your help, will get tweaking.
Hi guys,
Just wondering what is the recommended way to tension an aux belt? Is there a special tool? Can it be done without a tool?
I've got a ph1 172 non-cup, but running a Pure Motorport air con delete kit. I'm concerned it is too tight, as although it isn't whining, when I just moved the...
Just to let you know, oil level in a car has nothing to do with the oil pressure. This is governed by what the oil pump can put out and how much resistance there is in all the oil lines / outlets.
Not sure if a decat actually has a negative effect on power on these cars - NASP engines need a certain amount of back pressure to make them most efficient. On a turbo car, yes without doubt it'd help, but worth doing your research first on these.
It's just my cheeks that feel bruised, fine today, but after 60 miles yesterday it wasn't pleasant jumping back in for the journey home. Probably doesn't help having very stiff coilovers, but the padding seems very thin on the bit your bum actually rests on.

Failing that, just buy a couple of 2nd hand ones from a breaker to try.
That'd be much appreciated. :)
Previous owner thought it was a good idea to mount the shoulder restraints to the hook that would normally be used to clip the folding rear seat into... Can't believe that would be overly safe in a crash!
Hi guys,
I've recently bought a Clio with a set of Bimarco Futura seats, and as nice as they are for pinning you in position (definitely needed in a go-kart like car), they're a bit more upright than what I'm used to.
Now, the side mounting plates have got multiple holes; slotted ones at the...
