The clutch bearing began to get noisy on my ph2 172 last week. As a result i've been getting quotes etc whilst still using it. Yesterday, whilst away from home, it went completely, around the corner from a national chain of garages. The car is now there having a new clutch as it was undrivable...

Recently the clutch has been a bit juddery. I let the wife drive it this morning (first time in weeks) and it comes back with 'a noise'. Great. I've listened to it, and there is a rattle on idle, which changes when I depress the clutch. It's still juddery on gear change, but no worse than...

Had the 172 in the garage for tracking today as its pulling left. The tracking was fine, and didnt need doing, however the bloke doing it reckons the nearside top mount is had it. Looking at it with the wheels in the air, it had a LOT more movement than the offside, so I am inclined to agree...

My neighbour is a branch manager for Eurocarparts, so will be asking him to price them up for me on trade - got to save every penny. Sure Mick said it should have fluid in it - someone on here will definitely know!

When Mick removed mine, there were bits of rubber falling off, and there was no fluid in the bottom of it. Mick says its broke, I replace it, since he knows what he's talking about and I don't!

Nice one - had my cambelt done at Diamond yesterday, and the mount was shagged, so needs replacing asap. Will order one once i find a good discount code!

Does anyone have the part numbers, or can tell me what to search for, for the upper (cambelt side) mount on a ph2 172 on GSF or Eurocarparts websites? I have searched for Clio 172 engine mounts, but can't find them, but remember someone on here knowing part no's so wondered if anyone can help...

Hi, just bought a black 52 plate 172 to replace the wife's Laguna which had and lost an argument with an artic. Loving the 172 so far, just need to sort a few niggles out, and get the cambelt/aux belt/dephaser changed. Anyone recommend a garage locally, or know a man who can? Plans at present...
