Well im just glad my Samsung Omnia 7 doesn't do this lol - Yep, I just tested it. Aha . I've never liked the iPhone I don't know why always preferred Android and WP7 is surprisingly good I guess now I would have one over WP7 maybe if the iPhone 5 is actually different to any of it's predecessors? But Android has to win IMO because it's simple and easy to use with lot's of customization options and a lot of good free software. remember IMO

iPhone was in perfect condition for 5 months, put a bumper on it and now the stainless steel band is fucked. Crap design!

Mine is now out of warranty I believe (release model) but it's going back to apple to see if they offer to at least polish it up or whatever.

EDIT: Nevermind. Googled it. Yeah that's a shame. Most likely dirt ingress. In any case (lol) it's still stainless steel. No one ever said you can't mark stainless steel.

Well here's mine anyway, they can call it "dirt ingress all they want, but I was pretty hot on keeping mine clean.

I just don't think it's acceptable that something which is supposed to protect the phone, damages it.

Commando is the only way. Putting it in a case is like hiding your car under under masking tape and cling film. That said, I do have a Sena leather sleeve that I use for work, and a little slipper thing that I keep it in when in my centre glove box and plugged into my voice controlled Bluetooth & USB audio system in my Focus RS.

I had this issue when I got my iPhone at launch. I went back to store and they changed it. The moulding inside the bumper damaged it the smallest bit but I wasn't happy about it. They were great to be honest about it.

I ended up with a film type thing over the metal. Bit anal I guess
