I was going to say if this prices stays as it is and it get fixed (as Matt says he will) then this will be a very well priced conversion!

Seems absolutely spot on service to be fair.

For a tuner who doesn't normally ITB clios i'd say if you saw an increase of 30+bhp you wouldn't say anything was wrong with that.

i wanst slating them :S , i was asking questions as what was the problem was , i spoke to them the next day after getting the car back , how have i slated them in anyway in this thread ?????

Sorry should've said some people were slating him not you:eek:.

Anyway sounds like you'll be sorted come Tuesday.

Note ahoy!!

Thats including our V4 stabdalone management. I can at request leave your OEM ECU in there to keep the dash happy as well. Its not the usual way of doing engine management for us (most cars we work on have no loom at all let alone a factory dash!) but in Nicks case he was after a stack style setup anyway as it is a track car :)

Lets wait for Nicks to be running as it should then we can really make sense of the results etc.

Will keep everyone posted, and hopefully Danny will be popping over in the week so he can give an unbiased view of the work we do and the service etc.

Cheers guys,
Matt

  Venturi,GTT van,
When finished bud I would get a proper price sorted as I know nick beat you down to a low price which he said you arnt making much money out of this job. I think you will have a long que of people wanting this done once you have sorted nicks car at £2100!!

so i could keep my old ecu in , would of rather done that in the first place , as it would of saved me a lot of cash , what would need doing to get your ecu wired up to my old one then ???

Nick, the good news is we did leave the majority of the old harness there. The bad news is we utilised all the grounds for our grounds and any sensors we utlised (IAT, CLT, CRNK) etc were cut. We could back pedal it, but that would take quite a while I would of thought.

When we first booked yours in, I had just finished Dave Knights circuit Clio 9I think you saw it there when you dropped yours off) and that had a whole new loom, hence why I said the dash would stop working, and we then said you wanted to go for a stack setup.

Paul, yes I will have to work out a correct price. Now I know the time scales it will make this easier.

The standard Jenvey twin body conversion is £1880+VAT (on for example a Fiesta RS1800, or C20LET AStra) The extra expenses are: Throttle pedal conversion, and the individual TB setup that Jenvey Supply. Other than its pretty much the same. I would say £2,200+VAT would be a fair guess at a standard price for conversion.

Cheers,
Matt

It may prove more worth my time to uncode the Clio CAN commands and drive the dash directly with the V4 ecu.... The only downside to this is that whoever wants to be a guniea pig may be without their car for a while!

would explain why it felt so underpowered when i took it round oulten, good show danny, now i guess they can get it all mapped up and making some good figures, nice one

yeah top man danny , they should of knew the cam timing was out before mapping the car but it couldnt be helped , would of saved me a lot of time and money

saturday hopefully or tommorow , im sure they will be on here once its all mapped up again to post up dyno graph , for it to get 182 with cam timing out and vvt disconected i thought that was quite good , should hopefully see good results

Dont think they could have known really. They didn't fit them and have no past experience of that spec cam etc. Not something that you check before mapping either, just have to rely on it being done right

So does it deffo have different cams in it?

Nick you will be pleased when it comes back im sure, incorect cam timing is so common on these engines and makes a MASSIVE difference. I gained over 30bhp when I corrected my belt timing

it's a dyno-dynamics. they read a little lower than Superflow (Superflow is a FAR better dyno), I doubt it'll break 200, but it should be close

Do DD underread then? If il be well chuffed, mines made 173 @ the fly with just the cat back and last tim was on 128k odd :)

  williams and trophy
they have claimed its not megasquirt management , there old v3 ecu was megasquirt but not this one ,

theirs was on omex mate.

and meant guessing the low end map and only doing a 'power' map

at a proper mappers, the at the fly figure figure was about 2 bhp higher than the wheels figure when done properly.

  Venturi,GTT van,
Why cant they put the original ecu back in as it is a bit of a pain not having the rev's/temp gage's not working.
