GT5

I wouldn't look on the GT Planet forum then Roy. Over there they're describing Forza 3 as the fat chick you take home from a club when you want some fun but can't find anything better to shag.

^^That's exactly what they want you to do. Buy it blind regardless of whether or not it's any good. Sony marketing wins.

Lol, I'm reserving judgement. I know it's a questionable translation from a Japanese press release. Only thing on that list that interests me is the mention of all new physics...

Sounds ok. Unfortunately, I think Forza 3 will still offer a better drive.

**Cough**360's are s**t**Cough**

I hope this is good, although they don't have to finish games completely when they're released nowadays (as opposed to the days of old) as they can just update them. So GT5 might turn out to be like a fine wine...

  Chelsea tractor
Yup, just sat there for show. The owner won't want to try it for fear of ruining his expectations.

Looking good. I've just read this on IGN's Twitter feed "GT5 playable on the show floor, complete with damage (gasp!)"

I want to see some some evidence of the damage tbh. In car doesn't tell us much. That Tokyo circuit was one of my least favourites, lol. Hate the awkward multiple apex right hander before the main straight.

PD also had a list of features on their website for a while until they removed it a few hours later, it said the following;

Doesn't look like its on in that video, the missed turn should have fucked the car up. It bounced off it.

  Citroen DS3 DSport
Looks like some form of damage is on. Someone on AVF noticed that if you look at the video screen on the left of the clip posted above at 52 seconds the car crashes and from then onwards the door is left swinging open.

Lets take some bets on how many of the 1000 are made up by Suzuki Altos, Nissan Micras, Suzuki Swift non sport models, 3 wheeled turn of the century steam powered cars, Toyota pruis and other boring cack.

  A4 Avant
The car that ran into the back of the subaru didn't have a mark on it and it seems form the vid that you have to hit the barrier pretty hard to cause damage.

Does seem a little pointless, I wonder how much of that is down to a conflict between KY not being prepared to make concessions to how he wants to do things vs what manufacturers will allow him to do with their cars. Either way as pretty as it is with bits of bodywork etc flapping about it's as unrealistic as the GT fanboys moan about Forza's damage being, concrete at that speed WRC seam welded and caged shell or not it would be game over. No doubt the fanboys will be out in force banging on about how visually impressive it is while ignoring any criticism.

Hopefully it's a early version of the damage modelling. No scratching or dents are showing.

Tokyo Circuit is w*nk TBH. An I must say, even as a big GT fan... that damage looks a little laughable. The physics don't appear to be any different though to me. Interesting, but somewhat disappointing. One thing they NEED to readdress, is that god awful online engine... it's f*ckin awful.

The game has been in dev for so long that nothing can be classed as an early version anymore!!

Nice to see you can still bounce of walls!

The damage modelling can be classed as early, it's 10 years behind the other GT5 development!!!

That's how they'll sell it no doubt. lol "We only had 5 years to sort the damage model out, but we were far too busy counting the pots of money we made from the previous titles to do it properly".
