GREENLIGHT INSURANCE - WITHDRAWL OF SUPPORT FOR CLIOSPORT

Dear Sirs,

Having reviewed the content of posts contained upon the Cliosport forum, along with what appears to be periodic abuse of both Neil and Greenlight as a company.

Support was maintained, as is a vigil upon the forum for the purpose of providing qualified answers to members queries and questions, along with assisting the maintenance of our policyholders wishing to discuss their business via the forum/PM's.

We do not come here to be abused in a one sided fashion and will purely continue to maintain a vigil upon the forum for the purpose of assessing defamation of character/libel cases.

An element of your forum members are abusive, antagonistic, sometimes even libellous. A one sided view is presented by your member and the general view of your membership at large appears to be that we represent some kind of 'soft target' that has no right of reply.

With this in mind I have instructed Neil to withdraw support for Cliosport.

It is with regret that we have taken this action, as Greenlight as a company were founded 12 years ago for the purpose of supporting the performance/modified community at large.

Members who have existing policies will retain the concession afforded to Cliosport members for the duration that their policy remains live & continues to be renewed.

Kind regards

Tony Fehily

Sorry to hear this.

Many like myself have no problems with your company & it's good to talk to a perfomance focused outfit.

I also think the 'admin' on here should sort this out once & for all.

GUTTED! I tell you what other insurance companies need to take a leaf out of greenlights book!! I had the best experience with them plus their quote was £390 cheaper than anyone else.....I cant recall ever waiting on hold to speak to someone and they were always so helpful with all my issues like changing reg etc.

THIS IS A REAL SHAME!!! :nono:

Tony no offence intend'd but the people giving the abuse are the people who are not insured with your company.
People like myself who are, are greatful for it as the prices and policies are great, yes there are some hitchs that people find but then that is found with every company that people use.
Yes you do have the right to respnd or reply to peoples post/questions but telling others that some one has or does not have things like ncd should surly be against the rules of some sort.
I personally can not fault you for backing out from the people who are abusing you or neil an calling you both words such as c***s etc etc.
But this in effect is unfair on people like myself that have had no arguements with you or complaints to a matter of the fact.

I would like to clearly state it that people who phone them make sure you get the full facts before slating them on a public forum when it might be your fault for not getting the full details.
Because of ONE member it has now quiet likly ruin'd it for us all.

but it is not just one person in one thread, its loads of people in loads of threads an people pm'ing them to say what ever they think of them may it be nice or not.

I'd like to add a thank you to Greenlight at least for offering the concession to start with and for being helpful when I have dealt with you in the past.

Its very sad that you are willing to do this after a small minority have a complaint against you.

I have removed the thread in question and the member in question has been given an infraction warning. Any abuse against anyone is not acceptable and the moderators will always try and deal with it asap.

It would be very sad if you did decide to stop helping the other 99.9% of ClioSport members who are genuinly gratefull for the discounts you offer us. If indeed you do decide to, you should probably contact a member of Admin.

John/tom/have a cup/steve/cookie & co

This action will not effect your policies, any members that are currently with us will retain their concession and their records will be marked to indicate that they are clear enthusiasts.

All that will happen is that I have instructed all staff here to refrain from contact with the forum for anything other than referring potential cases of defamation to me.

Neil has been instructed not to comment upon this forum in Greenlight's time beyond todays date, as quite frankly this is forum up there as one of the most abusive forums we have ever encountered.

Can I suggest that those of you that are existing customers who are happy with our service and wish to continue dealing with us PM Neil with your name/postcode - as I have instructed Neil to credit you with lifelong enthusiast concession status.

Kind regards & thanks to those of you who have supported us.

Tony

I have been with Greenlight and through no fault of their own I had problems, Neil was very helpfull and understnading and the issue was sorted out straight away.

It is sad that it has come to this and Greenlight have decided to pull out of CS. They were able to offer me a very good price on my insurance when I renewed my insurance on the Trophy after appaling service from my previous provider. The only reason I didnt renew with them is the fact that I had lost confindence with Highway who were the provider of my cover.

I would like to says thank you to Neil for all the efforts he has put into the Club, and wish Greenlight all the best.

Very sad. Neil only had to pm a moderator and issues would've been dealt with asap.

I will give admin a link to this thread as it would be nice to see a comment.

I do try and help out members where possible if they have queries or problems and it can be hard at times as members seem to "have a go first and think second".

I always try and help out where possible but im not going to give my time to come on and get abused, slated and accused of things when im only trying to help.

I refered the complaint raised by a few members on a thread posted by one of our customers to the senior partner. To avoid any futuer complaints or issues caused by my posts Greenlight are now withdrawing the cliosport scheme.

Thanks to all the guys who have been poilte and welcoming to me over the years but as of today i will no longer be active on this forum.

Best Regards
Neil

  Golf R soon...
Dear me this is bad news :(

Neil and the team have been nothing but helpful with my enquiries! :)

I currently have a policy with Greenlight and intend to renew next year as I think they are brillant!

Sorry to hear your retracting from CS, crying shame!

Some people! :(

Just what i was thinking Cookie, Gav get a life mate if thats all you have todo. I have already checked but because the customer has been open to discussing his policy on a public forum they was in there own legal right to respond to the thread.
Neil and Tony have done nothing wrong.... the people slagging or slating have been all but right.

yep bit of a bummer, especially for the ones who were planning on using them in the near future whenever they turn 21!:dapprove:

but not much point in taking unnecessary abuse, so fair play

Sorry to here this.

However could you/have you not have forwarded the issues you've had with people on here to mods so they can dole out the appropriate punishment? After all I take it the amount of problems/business you have off the forum works in your favour?

Which other forums do you still offer discount to? As the easy answer is for potential customers of yours to just sign up there and contact you as a member of another club.

Very sorry to hear this, but I don't blame you for not wanting to be associated with a club that includes members who are abusive. I did not see the thread, so I can't comment on specifics. :( Once again a few have ruined it for everyone else. I do intend to renew next year as the quote received was nearly £400 cheaper than anywhere else. I have had great service from you as a company and look forward to dealing with you in the future. Certainly no complaints from me. Thanks very much so far to Tony and Neil.:) PM sent to Neil.

  meriva vxr! really ;-)
Shame a company has to do something like this - if you are prepared to enter into public forums i think you have to accept not everything will be positive - however if things are unfair then surely its the job of mods to delete/warn/remove people that are posting things - have the company asked anyone officially at cs to look at the problem or just taken this step to stop official postings - will we now get unofficial advice out of company time ;-)

I got a quote the other month from you for my insurance which you managed to half for my renewal in August... I take it this is no longer available and it will as a result will go up as I was looking forward to paying a decent premium for a change... especially as I've just got a mortgage :(

Shame some people have to go and ruin it and everyone else gets punished as a result... on another note I'm admin on Williams Clio, how about doing a scheme for them? ;) lol

I'll probably go with Greenlight regardless as they were £450 cheaper than my current policy anyway

I'd imagine if you called them direct they'd honour it mate. Undoubtably Greenlight benefitted as much out of this relationship as ClioSport members did...

Such a shame its come to this thanks to the ingorant key board warrior minority

I'm with Greenlight and I can't fault them in anyway they're always polite, knowledgeable on modifications, i'm never on hold long, always answer queries fully and quickly and of course the premiums are very competative. I did manage to get a marginally cheaper premium from another company last year but I stayed with Greenlight as the customer service is so good.

yeah I'll give them a shout at renewal time... if it goes up too much I'll shop around... :(

Gutted about this as i was looking to get a quote from greenlight later this year due to the excellent things i have herd about the company and its service.

  Focus RS
Real shame as they helped me out no end but don't blame them and some of the stuff i read on here just lately i see a few members going elsewhere also.

Have never used them, had only heard of them on this forum, so not overly fussed, but a bit silly pulling out just because some people give some keyboard abuse at them.
