As per title....Ive spoken to a couple of people about this place but I have yet to meet anyone who has actually bought and received a car from them...
I initially placed an order with them. very helpful and seem genuine. Though delivery time for the 172 I ordered (about 2 months ago) was pushed back to september. Me being impatient couldnt wait - manged to find an unregistered import 172 in the country, so bought that instead. When placing an order, they require £500 deporist, which I got back no problem when cancelling.
Im waiting for a Cup...they said back end of September for delivery. Theyre currently waiting for the Renault factory to go back to work after their annual shutdown before being able to confirm delivery dates...I should get an e-mail confirming when to ecpect the Cup next week.
I did a bit of digging before taking the plunge...theres a thread or two on the "Honest John" forum which confirms that theyre genuine. As siroldvolks said...£500 deposit when ordering, which if you do it on a credit card means youre protected should it all go ti*s up.
same as not_for_long, im waiting for a172. £500 on credit card. Mines not due until October though. They seem bona-fide to me, but I would say that because Ive ordered a car from them!!!
Bought my Cup about 6 weeks ago from them. To be honest I have mixed feelings about the experience. The car delivery bloke kerbed an alloy as he parked outside my house , no 172 cup badges on the door pillars and only 1 can of tyre foam.
On the plus side, they did deliver on time (with a bit of encouragement from me) and theyre in the process of sorting me out a new alloy.
The bit about them rectifying the problems gives me some relief...the fact that they need rectifying in the first place doesnt though!
The only thing I worry about is that the delivery driver rags it to within an inch of its life and by the time it gets to me the brakes are glazed and smoking, and the shoulders have worn off on the tyres.
For my Cup, all in, including full UK warranty, RAC et al (cause its a UK car), 12 months RFL and with nothing in the way of delivery/additional charges, its cost me £10,990 (though within two weeks of me ordering mine the price has risen to £11,400!).
