I'll start with apologising for the amount of photo's I take!

However, that's what projects are all about !?

The misses (cliolou) has owned Steve's tidy 172 Flamer, a DCI 100, and a Liquid Yellow 182 (still miss this car). I enjoyed driving each one of them and said one day I would get myself one at some point, and here we are.

The car's original advert and pictures:

Stunning White with ST Orange Alloys - lol
Cammed and Ktec Chipped - Pretty sure it has a Ktec Stage 1 Map, but the cams I highly doubt
Ktec Coilovers
Ktec Matched Inlets
K&N Apollo Induction kit
Ktec Stealth Exhaust - Also has a decat pipe
182 Gear Box - This was hardly a selling point - The speedo doesn't work !
Show cage - Dangerous
Carbon Fibre Trims - Mirrors, Bullets, Rear bumper strip, Front Fog Surrounds - See thread
Polybushed - All I can see so far is a Powerflex dogbone mount
De-badged boot
"This car sounds AMAZING, like it's on throttle bodies"

So after a bit of a deal and cash my way the exchange was made, and the car is finally away from that ridiculous 'Swapz' website where most of it's wreckage came from :dapprove:

Fairwell to my Ibiza Cupra, owned it twice and spent a fortune on re-painting it etc but time for a bit of RenaultSport again!

This was last Sunday

Well done on saving this mate. Looks like it will turn out to be a lovely car.

I really like the anthracite willy wheels on it too :)

dont often see white clio's,very nice car! looks better already!

Thanks dude

Doing a great job mate :)

So far so good, I'll drop you a PM again soon for the belts when I raise the cash

This. Great to see it being de-Chavved and the previous bodge jobs sorted out. :)

I hate to say it but really was a chav magnetic. However I have a fair bit of work to do still

Great effort on sorting it :)

Cheers bud

Awesome :) looks like you've put a fair amount of work into it. Will be keeping an eye on this :)

Yeah its been a busy week inside of work but worth it so far

Looks great. Nice work

Cheers bud

Its a great base to start with and really wanted a white one after I originally viewed it so had to go back

I see you decided to get it then. Good amount of progress do far!

I did indeed.. I feel ive been more than honest on here about the car as wasnt planning to buy it after the expectation the first time I viewed it lol

It really suits the Williams wheels over the orange speedlines!

The colour contrast is perfect on the white imo.. I will getting turinis done the same colour I think or maybe the 205-110 people go on about

So much potential for that car but what an utter mess it was in

Top work already - doubled its value methinks lol

Thanks Phil

Forgot to mention I changed the poorly painted black diamond also!

So many routes I could go with it, did fancy white turinis but borderline if it will look ok and keeping up the cleaning of them. The bootlid needs to be next!

Looks so much better after the few changes you have made.
Is there wiring still going to the tailgate, if so use the wiper wiring to power a solenoid saves running new wiring and switch.

Looking good. I'm glad someone chose to rescue this. White ones can look great, or they can look s**t. I'm happy the latter didn't continue.

Keep us all updated with the progress.

Would you not recommend the show cage then lol?

I would, but just not the way the guy had fitted it, and it was half orange, half rubbed down to metal. I guy I sold it too had now scotched it all down and polished it up with some metal polish and it actually looks better now

The guy was planning to change all the orange to purple, then get a carbon boot and bonnet, which I assume would be vinyl wrapped.. Would of looked.. err.. great

Great work, subbed

Looks a lot better already!

I quite like that tailgate tbh. Nice car you've got there.

Thanks

I liked the tailgate in the first pictures I seen of it, but the practicality of it annoys me, even if it had a switch and solenoid which is simple to sort, I still don't think it would go with how I'm aiming the car to look

Good project, got any plans for the engine?

Not a great deal I can do to it really pal

It has a decat, ktec stealth system, K&N Apollo filter which i'll refit the cover to like a BMC, ktec matched inlets with receipt, and a ktec stage one map however unsure if this is true, apart from some cams, which he claimed it also had, I'm sure not, but 99% it isn't cammed, probably just thought the slightly lumpy cold idle mean't it was.

Not spending silly money on turbo conversions or the like

Looks lovely in white to be fair buddy

Very fair indeed mate :race:

What a strange car, full respray including the inside and then half arsed badly carried out mods. Must've been different owners who did that surely. Good rescue job mate

We're onto a winner!

You've done a great job fixing it up so far. Now you're definitely going to have to bring it along to a meet lol.

Not until it's how I want it haha.

The exhaust joins upfront are blowing like no tomorrow :( sounds so unhealthy from the exhaust hanging down has probably strained the gaskets I guess.

As I said pal, the car ended up on that 'Swapz' site where most of the damage and mess came from! Although I'm not to fussed as feels good returning everything to a good standard again. The shell itself it white throughout, underneath, wheel arches, floors, engine bay which is lovely to have.

I think it's Glacier White but yet to confirm this, need to look at some Clio colour charts. White mirrors and replacement bootlid needed

A bit of work put in and the turn around is impressive.
I looked at this before I got the 182, ph2 clios in white just seems right for some reason, but the condition of it put me off + what they were asking. Be nice to see it when its looking how it should. As Mcgherkin said, bring it to a meet.
Will keep an eye out around for you as well ;)

Good turn around.

:) cheers jack

First few days were a good start indeed. Lots of things to do as ive said but must have about ten deliveries on the way this week ha!
