suspension advice

  E90 M3
Hi peoples, im new to the game so please be gentle!

I have a 172 FF, really for fast road use and the odd track day.

currently i gather the car is running standard suspension, solid engine mounts and apex lowering springs.

the car doesnt have a positive initial turn in, from what ive read im thinking cup suspension, cook sport springs then look into poly bush and or strut braces?

what would the professionals advise?!

You are best off staying away from coilovers, though the Bilstein B14's are excellent if you want to go that route - with great damping on rougher surfaces and tough weather protection.

Springs are a little softer.
We do the Grams springs with Cup Dampers - they should work on both track and road.

For trackday use and to get the nose turning in the best rear ARB is the Pure Motorsport one. You will want the 19mm one.

I would check the geometry as well as mentioned above. The rear beam may need a little more camber and/or toe to liven it up but getting it back to standard helps to start. A dash of camber on the front helps too. I generally go by the rule of thumb - Never more than 2 degrees on a road car to start.

Fresh cup dampers, RARB, pair of camber bolts for the front and get it hunter/supertracker aligned. I ran Apex springs for around 10 track days and 2k road miles and they were decent, didn't find them overly firm for the road and being linear in design decent on track.
