  yep.
brake pads rubbing on the discs?

seems to be the rear that are the culprits. when i have my window down i can hear the bloody things!!

since changing my front brake pads i now get squeeling eerytime i brake, i think i bought pads without those anti squeal bits...any other way to resolve this>

on brake discs. Are you mad man you dont lube up the part that stops your car. Thats like putting some sand in your oil sump. There would be no point having brakes if you lube them. 4D40 = spray, gets everywhere. If you want to lube the moving parts use propper grease

The hangbrake cable adjuster is behind the exhaust heat shield. Get someone to help you by operating the handbrake while you adjust it. If thats not the problem you might have some kind out auto adjuster on the brakes thats working a little too well. PM me 2moz to remind me and I'll ask the renault dialogue for advice .

WD40 isn't a graese, it's a water disperser...

However the comment was a joke.

If someone doesn't know how to adjust their handbreak I would seriously suggest that they don't try because if they aren't competant enough to do that, there is no hope for them!

I know i'm just being ratty cause I was up early. Soz.

Yeah maybe its not a good idea to adjust something you didnt even know how to find.

Oh and if you do decide to DIY it remember to test your handbrake before you go on the run to see if the rubbings gone
