My time in Italy with 3 Ferrari Testarossas!

As the film is now out and the c***s left me off the credits in favour of two blokes who didn’t want anything to do with the film or the cars I thought I’d do a thread as few of you may find it interesting!

So I packed up tools with my mate, jumped in a van and we drove 16hrs through the night to get to Italy. Got to our hotel then went and met two of the Ferraris that’d been delivered the day before.

They were running rough as badgers ringpiece, but thankfully a fresh tank of fuel and Italian tune up sorted that. So next was taking the cars to set and the producer jumped in the passenger seat of the one I was taking, thankfully he was a really cool guy and let me give it some beans!

First day was a decent experience and bit of a novelty, I was only supposed to be there a week and was missing the first day of my family holiday to be there too, worth it though I suppose. As the week wore on it was getting ridiculous, being on set for 6am and not getting back to the hotel till 9/10pm left little drinking or exploring time. So many people on set were self important c***s I’ve got to say. One bloke even said were privileged to be in his presence due to his role in the film industry, said in all seriousness too ?

Most of the time was spent f**king about waiting or doing the odd bits to the car to keep them filming, these old Ferrari’s are seriously fragile, like cars someone called Nigel has knocked up in their shed ? they’re also horrific to drive, gearbox being the absolute worst!

Biggest issue we actually had was the fuel pump going on one of them! Nightmare finding the pump then getting the Italians to locate the right pipe as the pipes were all so fragile they literally shattered!

But all fixed in time and it was back on set. Certainly not the worst place I’ve worked! Great views and lovely weather. Lake como is amazing!

One of the days the director was in a mood and spoke to me like a sack of s**t about moving the cars, led me to tear off in the car and leave some nice rubber lines across his film set ? I continued to tear off into the mountains which was nice ?

I did a full no ABS stop on my way back down and ended up being greeted by George Clooney who was obviously intrigued by the sound of the flat 12 outside his house. My biggest regret is not getting a picture with him, he was a proper gentleman really nice and he was the one doing all the talking, this is outside his gate after he went in

Would attach more videos but it doesn’t seem to want to work.

Not my day job at all, f**k would I do it again but yer it was a fun experience.

I’ll let you guess the film by looking on a cheap streaming service that pumps films out like they’re going out of fashion

whats with the different (bigger) wheels on KBZ90 in one of the photos.
That ones actually a fibreglass kitcar, spaceframed Alfa 3.2. Before it was doing one of the stunts, we went up to it and pulled one of the harness eyelets out of the floor with a gentle tug, so that stopped filming. The bloke who fitted actually said ‘you pulled it too hard’ ??

The Alfa police car was also similarly bodged, when I was checking it was safe to do the stunt they hadn’t even bolted the seats back in properly after incorrectly fitting the harnesses ?

Looks great fun. All this makes me want to do is visit Italy though. I can't believe I've never been.

Am I missing something here? When did you get involved in film industry? Looks like a wicked time you had.

Found a video that’ll upload...

Also got papped by the Italian news telling the director and producers why the stunt vehicles were unsafe

Definitely not involved in the film industry, was just opportunity that came up through a friend that I couldn’t refuse. We got made to stay on for an extra week so I completely missed my family holiday so that put a sour taste in my mouth. Met some lovely people but at the same time some proper helmets. One conversation...

Self obsessed c**t: anthony have you ever considered a job in the film industry, you’re doing really well at this

Me: not really my thing just happy with the experience

Self obsessed c**t: you should really consider it, you get to work with people like me, get to live the lifestyle you haven’t before like staying in nice hotels and eating in decent restaurants

Me: what the f**k?! I’m fine thanks mate.

The Clooney encounter sounds class!

Please say Jennifer was a carbon clone of her Horrible Bosses personality.....

You'd imagine if he met or even caught a glimpse of her it would have been mentioned already?

Yer I met her, I was on set for two weeks so they were in and out doing her scenes, she was weird and nowhere near as nice as the films would lead you to believe. Disappointment really. Adam kept trying to be funny all the time, he wasn’t. I had to give a look to as if to say ‘I’ve had enough of your s**t’ multiple times.

Gets properly tiring when you have the radio in your ear and all your hear all day is ‘Jen and Adam are on their way’ ‘oh watch out for jen’ in some shitty American accent and then there was all the fake laughs and over the top clapping. f**king torturous that was.

Sounds like a bittersweet experience. Great opportunity as a one off though.

Some cracking pics too!

I've always wondered if the people making the film know it's going to be crap?

Clearly alot of effort went into the Ferrari scenes so they hadn't planned to make a total melon.

If it’s a Netflix original film then they just fling money at things.

Very jealous, looks a fantastic all round experience
