Meg R26 possible injector fault

Hi all.

Over the last while my megane has been feeling a bit odd, and recently has intermittantly started running on 3 cylinders for a short while, carry on driving a bit and it clears and everything is fine.

Just went out in it a while ago to go to the shop, didnt feel right from cold as usual, but then once warm it was fine, than started running on 3 but it didnt clear and the emissions light, the spanner and the T/C lights are on, and its says 'check ESP' on the screen.

First thought is the injectors, is there anything i can do myself before putting it in for diagnostics? Is that injector cleaner s**t any good?

Yes sounds like an injector, common on these.
Cant help with an injector cleaner though as not had any experience.
Some people have had them cleaned by a specialist and reported good things, so maybe worth looking for someone that does that.
And can bring on the other lights as it to with engine fault, and they are linked.

Happened to me. Replaced all 4 as it was an 07' plate running original injectors up to 2012. Just get it all done, you won't regret it and it saves chasing issues and imho cleaning isn't a proper 100% long term cure for this.

Don't clean them just replace them - makes the world of difference.

Mine had the same issue and has just had the throttle body replaced.

you got to watch out for the throttle body code, its not that it might be a coil spiking the computer and it gives it that code
i got caught out once.
sounds like an injector fault to me, better off getting it diagnosed rather that waste money

Code coming up is P0313. Replaced the spark plugs tonight as thats all we had handy. Seems to have made it a little less 'rough' but its still missfiring.

Injectors seem to be a bit of a pain in the arse on the meganes huh!
