Lights flashing when raining 172 clio

Hi guys new on hear so dont no if this is the right place i recently got my self a clio 172 but since getting home iv started having problams with my head lights flashing on and of and wipers stopping only when it rains and when this happens everything on the hole car flashes like the dash radio rear lights indercators everything iv checked all the conections in the engine bay and both fuse boxes and found nothing iv also turned off the auto lights to see if that helped but it didnt any help would be greatly appreciated cheers

There's a sensor on the window that activates the atuo lights and wipers, that may be dirty/faulty?

If it is faulty can i just unplug it ? Will the lights and wipers still work ?
