Just got my Yozza decat pipe

  Clio 182 & Saxo VTR
Fitting it tomorrow, will i need new exhaust gaskets?

Also the exhaust i have has some surface rust which looks like it could clear up with the dremel, any advice?

Cheers.

i'd clean up the rust (wire brush etc) then get some high temp paint, and spray over the joints etc. Thats what i've done with mine, seems ok

Im gonna wire brush to start and dremel the bad parts, just didnt know if i would get carried away and put a hole in it. Screw it, ill give it gung ho, if it breaks it breaks.

As for the exhaust gasket?

Which part? The 182 centre section has no gasket, not 100% sure of the downpipe to cat though. You will need a new clamp from cat to sentre section, they are like a use once item.

It came with a new clamp (cant recommend yozza enough by the way, the quality of the wleds are fantastic, will comment on the fit tomorrow). As said, wasnt sure myself if it required a gasket, just didnt want to have to take the exhaust off tomorrow to find it needed one, then reassemble to go to renult to pick one up.

  a thirsty one
from downpipe to cat its just 2 spring bolts which you can reuse mate once you have cleaned up any rust etc, mine is an 05 plate and didnt need any cleaning up, and yeah the cat to centre section does need another clamp the original is a bit skinny and rubbish.

Spring bolts were fine, just surface dirt. Oh and you DO need a new exhaust gasket, ive had to keep my old one.

Anyway its fitted, as i thought it hasnt made any difference to the car, even noise which is odd, ive never ever known a car without a cat and it sounds exactly the same.

Looks like ill be ordering the full system from Yozza. ;)

The cat is very good on the 182. Much better than the 172. Its what helps the 182 make its 'slightly' more power lol
