How much is a standard 182 exhaust from Reno?

  Nissan 350Z
Just curious really - I searched the forum and did a quick look on google but didnt really seem to see anything.

I am aware that the standard exhaust system tends to fail rather prematurely - the car has just over 10k miles on it, and already its showing signs of the "4k rpm noise"... how long does the warranty cover the exhaust for? (the car has been registered for about 18 months now)

I noticed replacement exhausts from the likes of Magnex seem to start at around the £200 mark, so how much are the standard exhausts from Reno?

If its possible to get a decent aftermarket exhaust for a good price then i may look into that instead. Ideally I would like one that provides a nicer sound when on the move when in the mood for fun, but not too noisy when not - i wouldnt mind some extra noise, but some exhausts i hear on other cars are a bit over the top sometimes! I wouldnt say no to a bit more power, but obviously i'm not expecting too much from it on that score.

Don't know how much standard is but as you point out its shite anyway. I'm not into boomy exhausts and replaced mine with a blue flame. £250 with lifetime warranty. One thing is for sure, the Renault item will cost more and is far inferior.

I've been a victim of the standard exhaust rattle and as we speak have a blueflame on order.
I got quoted over £200 ALONE just for the centre section so i imagine the full system from renault would cost £400+. Blueflame is the best value exhaust going IMHO. Janspeed do a nice one too for a little more money then there is the magnex but apparently its a little on the heavy side. Prospeed could do you a custom one for £450+.
good luck..

Thanks... the blueflame one sounds decent from a value for money point of view.... I feared the standard exhaust would be rather expensive.

BozM how do you like the sound of your blueflame exhaust?

A 172 exhaust is £306+vat from the cat-back from Renault, and its made od recycled Mr.Kipling cake tins.

Basically, don't even bother with Renault exhausts, get an Orbisoud :)

I got quoted around £300 for an OE Renault exhaust for my 172

Went and bought a k-tec Stealth instead.

Do you get the cakes with it? If so, that might swing it for me ;)

The orbisound would be nice - if i have a spare £900 or so then I might consider it, although that seems unlikely at the moment :dapprove:
