I have been let down today buy a mechanic to come and fit pads and discs, ready for brands Monday, I have HC discs and some pbs pads as well as brake fluid to use on the system, my plea here is anyone know of someone available to do this tomorrow at all? I know the likes of KwikFit etc are open but being last minute I don't know if they will have space until I ring them in the morning

I am located in Peterborough but willing to travel if someone can help
Much appreciated

Are you unable to do it yourself? Pads and discs are easy. You just need a ratchet, sockets, torque wrench, copper slip.
For bleeding of the brakes get yourself an eezibleed.

confidence is key with this, and sure I can follow a guide and do it, but the thought of not doing it right and binning it Monday puts me off trying it at this time, so I would prefer if someone who knows what there doing could help on the matter.

Get there early and fit them.

If I was local I could have both sides fitted in 30 minutes. Bleeding probably about the same time again.

The only thing is you'll need to sacrifice some time to bed the pads in and let them cool. Do a 15 minute session and then come in and wait an hour.

Thanks for the replies guys, sorry for the delay in response, Alex was very kind and sorted them out for me this afternoon, so all good and ready for tomorrow

Have you bedded them in properly?

10 stops from 90-30 works for me. Then let them cool overnight.

Yes allowed them to bed in properly and are now cooling nicely overnight ready for the journey tomorrow

Thank you for the recommendation, yes he definitely is, was good to see his work space and have a chat, plus seeing a couple of customer cars there for ideas and inspiration on future avenues

No worries.

It’s great to have an experienced specialist in the South East.

I’m sure his business will flourish as he already has a great reputation from when he was at Engine Dynamics

Yes definitely think he will do well for himself, and good luck to him on that front, I will certainly be returning to him for future work and anyone wanting things done I will point them in his direction
