@Djw John @RyG @imprezaworks As promised ;)

Silicone bends x2:

I bought these ones but they are currently out of stock. Shame as these are the cheapest ones around that are long enough. You can get cheaper, but they are too short/dumpy.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131676086...49&var=431063786095&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

These are next cheapest/correct ones.

Ally Joiner x1:

Obviously you'll need filter spray and 4x 60mm - 80mm jubilee clips.

What size is needed for the pipes?

What size is needed for the pipes?

I though I posted the sizes? Anyway it's 70mm (2.75") on the silicone pipes, ally joiner and filter and 12mm on the breather. The breather just feeds into the back of the inlet with the sleeve provided.

You also need to cut the top silicone hose at an angle to fit between the throttle body and the ecu cover.

Thanks John :)

Me too mate. She's happy you and Matt are coming now. Obviously I am too.

We come back from fuerteventura the Saturday before, so we'll hopefully still be brown!

What you doing about your wheels?

Awesome mate, hope you have a great time! :)

I'm picking some up tomorrow, 150 miles there though as its in newcastle! But £150 for 4 with centre caps and 2 tyres with decent tread it's worth it in my eyes.

Induction kit looks great, wish I'd have gone for silicone bends rather than the alloy one! Where did you get the rubber strip from on the body of the car to stop the hose rubbing? I could do with some myself :)

That's a result @dann2707 Cheap really. You going to get them sprayed the same color as your current ones?

Also, really liking the sleeve with the grub screw for the reverse shifter on yours. I think I'll look into that for mine as my washer is only glue on.

@Kchristmas it was some spare hose we have at work. It helps stop the vibration and the scratching too. I'll see if I have some more at work and I'll send some to you if you want?

  Ph2 Meg 225
That would be great if you could mate, just let me know and I'll sort out some money for it! Does it require gluing or is it a snug fit?

Jekyll

ClioSport Club Member
Its a snug fit mate. I'll check when i'm back at work tomorrow and if so i'll send some out to you free of charge. It'll be wednesday as i have the day off.

PM me your address bud :)

Haven't updated this in a while.

Went to CSF and had a fantastic time! Was good to meet old faces and new, as always! It was a great weekend!

Didn't really do much for a while. Car had its MOT and passed with no advisories which i was happy about. I did think they'd mention about the rear bearings and i had the humming noise but it went straight through. I took some pics at work to celebrate!

Then i decided to remove the Ktec top mounts as i felt the ride was too harsh with them on. Met up with Steve @MrBlonde and we went to my work on a sunday to both do a few bits on our cars.

I also changed the engine mount bolt for the OE one that i had in the spares box.

28395870780_1a4d95b6fe_z.jpg

It rides better and its not so crashy with the standard top mounts now, but i'm left with the drill holes, which was to be expected. Will have to look into a cover up of some description.

Today i took the car to work to fit the new brakes that i ordered off @George@RTR_Parts. As always, top service from George! I wanted to do it inside, but i couldn't find the shutter keys, so i did the work outside and caught some rays instead

Before the new discs and pads went on, i decide to paint the calipers and carriers. I only gave the calipers a quick paint just to brighten them up, but i sandblasted the carriers, then added etch primer, Iceberg silver (In memory of the Ph1!) and some lacquer.

I want some 15" wheels. Ideally i'd like to swap for a equally good condition as my Turinis (No kerb marks, good tyres, etc) as it saves me trying to sell then buy others. If you are interested in my wheels, let me know. I do have access to some standard wheels which i can use so i can put these up for sale, should i need too.

All cleaned, el finito!

28680409965_1faba58d6d_z.jpg

I have also decided to go with y original plan and just have some fun with this car. Its just shy of 110k. Bodywork is in decent knick for its mileage but it does have a few dents, scuffs, etc.. I don't want to mint this one up, and its not going to be worth much if/when i sell it. Its not a OE car and i don't want it to be so i'm going to have a tinker about with it. Its also a good base car for my partner to get involved with the tinkering/modifying. I'd like to get it to a "clubsport" spec but this will be over time.

I have a list of things that need to be addressed first. They are:

Find and fix a knocking noise i have under acceleration
Fit red HT leads
Fit new MAF sensor
Paint inlet, fuel rail guard and belt cover Peugeot metallic grey
Remove bonnet heat mat and paint underside of bonnet RB
Remove dash top and fix clock bulbs
Add Renault Sport sticker in rev counter
Alter rattling heatshield
Remove carbon cannister
Fit new headlight bulbs (have spares as the one that are in are dull)
Adjust handbrake
Make brake ducts

I've already removed the foglights and have ordered some bass ports for a cold air feed. (These are pre clean pics from a few days ago)

Love your thread. Bit more detailed than mine lol.

How much are the wheels out of interest mate

Where did you get the bolts and countersunk washers from?
So much envy of RB, makes me want to change the colour on mine.

Absolutely MINT that.

I wish it was but its not. Its clean enough for just under 110k but up close, its not as mint as the pics suggest. But ive been there, chasing mintness. This car wont be that. I happy to have swirl marks, chipped/scuffed paint, etc. Someone recently hit the front bumper. It wasnt a massive amount, but it did remove some paint. If it was my old ph1 id of been gutted but this time im not gutted as much. Still annoying though.

Im just going to keep this clean and well maintained, but tinker/modify as i go along. Its never going to be original so im just gong to enjoy it!

Attention to detail is amazing Mark! Fantastic write ups too, this really does make me fancy a RB, never really been a fan but in your photos it looks bloody awesome!

Ive always said its the best colour for the 182's. It just has so much pop, even though its a base colour. Your BG is on another level though mate!

How you getting on with the modified gearknob?
