Clio Time Travel

  1.6 Focus, 1.6 122S

Anybody out there that has an older clio with newer parts?

Im still finding interesting things about my new car, after have being bought with an incomplete service history.

36,000 Miles and three new tires (Seems early for a car thats been driven round town most its life). And the oddist thing:

Its a 2000 Clio with 2003 parts, turns out that the locking mechinisms are that of a 2003 Clio (also being more expensive). Im yet to discover how they got there.

What do you mean the bits may not have been changed from 2000 to 2003 so although parts are refered top as 2003 ones they are exactly the same.

The car might however have been in an accident so parts were replaced on the cheap.

With THe facelift from Mk2 Ph1 to Mk2 Ph 2 came a few other part modifications. One of these being new locking mechinisms. Its highly unlikely that when the car was built in 2000 it was fitted with parts for the ph2 clio and not the ph1.

From what ive found out and can tell, it hasnt beed in an accident, and even so, the parts should have been replaced with the correct ones.
