Broken angel eye HELP NEEDED !

I have angel eyes on my clio mk2 however both nearside halo's are not working any one know why this is and how it could be fixed ? thanks

Not sure, I got them from a local breaker who assured me they worked, there al wired up correct and everything else is working on them :/ just not those halo's, is a case of going back for a shout at the breaker ?

Probably, not much you can do without taking the unit apart and even then if there broke it wouldn't be easy to fix.

Im not a complete electrical wizard, LEDs run for a long time but not if the resistors are fooked, so say its running a resistor it might have burnt out... you've got nothing to lose, open them up if possible and have a look... or find an electrical engineer or whatever there called and get a quote for repair... Cant be massively hard.

If you can pull them off then your better than every other chav out there!!! LOL.

TBH, you're better off disconnecting the halo's anyways and just using the projectors (I'm presuming they have projectors!) for an HID kit.

You can probably buy new halo rings, but they're not the best and do break... Most of the kits on e36 bm's (not the really shite looking ones, just the shite looking ones) used to blow all the time...

I'd take them back to the breakers, say they're fooked, get your money back and get some 172 projectors.

yhh there projectors, i mean my original lights were a mess any way so had to change em,
have some silver indicator bulbs in the post and a HID lights also coming.
i mean they cost me £80 and there in perfect condition £199 new, apart from the break in the halo, the auto electrician is coming wednesday to look at them, hopefully he can sort em and i will post some pics up after, pics of my car before are on the site already http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?548711-My-Clio-Mk3-1.2-172-Replica
Im not a chav, i love my clio and keep it well maintained considering im only just 18 last week and still in school doing a-levels.

And Todd, the drivers side lights are fine, but the passengers side the twin halo rings are broken :/

I really dont mind the look of the halo lights... i just don't like the halos lit up... they should be on BMWs only, just like the Audi lights should stay on Audis etc etc

If i got another non sport id definatly consider halos and disconnecting the halos... just for having projectors..

Good luck though mate hope they get sorted, definatly cheaper that Renault xenons

Didn't mean you were a chav! Sorry, just read my post and it did come across that way!

re the skoda splitter in the other thread - Just go to Skoda parts.

Good luck woth the angel eyes... I'd personally just break the other side and not use the rings but it's your car!

They look good when lit in my opinion, but y'know everyones opinion is different, does the skoda splitter fit direct Steve or does it need cutting to size ?

Cheers for the suggestion Fast5 will try it, its just unusual that the main beam and high beam work but the halo's don't.

check that the sidelight fuse hasn't blown, if it has i would say change it with a bigger one.
