Hi can any one give me some advice on what exhaust system to buy?! Theres soooo many to pick from... What a decat pipe fail an MOT? Would a sport cat back fail? Whats best price and best full exhaust system that would pass MOT and sound banging? Thanks

Hi Guys, I've got two heads here, a Ph1 172 with the big exhaust ports and a head from a 172 cup with the smaller ports. Is there any real advantage in torque or HP to using the Ph1 cylinder head? Engine will be fitted with Cat Cam 421's and Jenvey ITB's. Regards, Mike

Had a new engine fitted. Now they is steam from the back of the engine. I think it's coming from the exhaust man but my friend said it could be that the engine was on it's side and it's burning oil. I can smell burning. This is just on idle, I am yet to even test drive the car as the gearbox oil...

Hi all, Is a standard OEM 182 Trophy exhaust the same as a normal 182 OEM exhaust?

I recently replaced my power flow exhaust for a much nicer and quieter Sportex exhaust, I've noticed there's a rattle when I accelerate and it sounds like it's coming from under the gear box, I've looked under the car and can see it's coming from the exhaust, I just can't work out what it could...

Hi all, Im looking for some help identifying what exhaust I have on my 172. It is a complete cat-back system, all stainless steel and has twin exit pipes at the rear. I have looked for some kind of branding/stamp but have had no luck whatsoever. I have attached a couple of pictures below...

What's the best exhaust joint? I currently have a blowing Sleve joint I'm thinking of changing to maybe a v band but I'm unsure. Ideas? Experiences? Or should I stick with Sleve and whack done paste on there?
