Andyrg , this sounds helpful , going to take the inlet off today and check the leads out , is it possible to do this and not fetch the engine management light on though ?

I've done around 100miles . And it sounded like this as soon as I drove off ! I know he wouldn't have used top notch renault tools , as he is a kind of back street garage , he told me he would have it pucka :-(

Weird thing is , is that it's not FEELING as if it's miss firing ! you would feel a misfire . But this is quite smooth when driven :-/ it's puzzling my head and now it's starting to hurt a little :-s

parts come to around £350 ' and a garage charged £490 on idle it doesn't sound like a Subaru , but at low revs and whilst accelerating it's really sounding like a boxer engine ! Will get video now
