I have a full roll cage, sabelt seat and 6 point harness for drivers side. Also no rear seats.
I do have a standard seat as passenger seat and have left the standard front belts in.
So it sounds like resistors and slap a standard ish wheel on there....
Febraury last year my car passed with just one advisory - Air Bag light is on.
Re test this year and of course the rules changed in April 2013.
It's a trackday car so has a bucket seat, 6 point harness and OMP non airbag steering wheel.
I plan to fit resistors in line to extinguish the...
Mahle is not cheap crap.
For example: http://www.mahle.com/MAHLE/en/Products-&-Services/Motorsports-and-Special-Engines
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAHLE_Powertrain
I think MAHLE and Mann filters can always be trusted.
Does anyone know where I can get said stiffer springs? or is this a custom order job?
Starting to seem like AST or bust, but I've spent so much money on the car so far this year I just can't do it, not at the moment at least!
I'm pretty sure I have found the culprit. The TPS sensorI took it off and used some switch cleaner on it, wiggled it about etc.
There is also some slop in the two mounting holes, so I pushed it slightly so that it is adding a little throttle.
Now idles at about 1300 on this cold day. The revs...
Fitted a new isv today, and it made no difference.
When i start the car from cold it gives it more revs for a while and as per normal, but after that I get the lumpy 700 or so rpm idle.
A lot of air is coming out of the isv and back into the hose that goes into the air
filter, you can hear...
Arse. Mine are fixed rate with just a small allen screw in the top of the rod and look different to that pic. Gaz say fixed trackday ones were available. Spoke to them again today, a bit more helpfull this time, they suggested maybe trying stiffer rear springs, something like 750 lb instead of...
Currently have Gaz GHA coilovers that came fitted to the car (ph1 172)
The front dampers are not adjustable and this is proving to be quite a limitation, and the quality of the units is pretty average too.
I rang Gaz asking whether the fronts could be adjusted, and they were not very helpful...
Well, had a great day at Snetterton last week, the clio proved to be ideal, was also surprised how well i kept up with some other cars in a straight line.
Fitted the Sabelt Titan without head reastraints, and it's perfect! Have another one on it's way to replace the standard passenger seat...
The idle of my car has never been great, and I'm told it's a bit of a trait. I think the car has the RS tuner 98 ron map, but not completely sure.
Anyway, its always been fine until a recent trackday.
Towards the end of the day I started to get a high idle, at say, 2000rpm.
Then on the way...
Can't see how harness or seat would be a propblem, all bolted down to the floor with spreader plates etc.
More worried about my lack of straight line speed on those straights! My first trackday apart from hiring a R26R at the ring.
Thanks. Came with Ph2 rear end when I bought it.
Quite like it, almost wonder what ph1 lights and the ph2 rear bumper would look like?
Mark Set the ride heights and geometrey, but no corner weghting at this stage.
Couldn't say as for the cost, he does it on a case by case basis. The cage...
I'll see how I get on. The idea is that I still have some comfort and it's not too noisy when I drive it there (for example this will hopefully inlude Spa and the Ring later on :))
I bought this just before christmas, especialy for track days. Had a few goodies on it allready, but has now been caged and setup by Mark Fish.
Yet to get on track, but otherwise it's a riot to drive. Think I may have made a bit of a mistake with the seat, comfortable, but visibilty isn't great!
I have OZ F1's at the moment, but I have heard that they are made out of chocolate, and can bend and buckle easily if you want to ride the curbs.
What options are there? Do people agree with this comment?
Looking at speedline 2118's, but want to try and keep the cost down. Need to look right...
I was considering ordering a hotter cam for my car and having a go at fitting it.
I've done most jobs, but in fairness not ever fitted a cambelt and camshaft.
I was thinking of ordering the belt and tensioner etc and this locking tool which I can order cheap ish through work...
Is there any way of gaining access to a renault parts catalogue online? I want to look up a few bits and pieces. For my Audi I use Vagcat, which has proved very usefull.
If not, can anyone help me with one urgent item, I need the long bolt that goes into the back of the passenger side gearbox...

Did you consider getting your bonnet vents done in black? Mine is frozen white and I nearly had this done.
I have MP350 and the Mountune plenum, it's so nice and torquey in any gear.
I also have the Mountune exhaust, but the Euro version as the UK version seemed to be too boomy for...
Do you know where he got the steering wheel trimmed? Would consider getting it done to my chavvy white RS. M3 CSL style.
I live in Essex and drive a white RS, proud of that ! :rasp::D
