I am considering dropping my 205s down to 195s for my 182? Cannot decide if losing that centimeter is going to have a real effect on the grip if the tyre is decent. Looking at some rainsport 3s. Also surely there would be better mpg's with less rolling friction?
cheers
Update,
Local garage have replaced just the bearings! Cost of £150 fitted. OUCH!!!!!!!!!!
Morale of the story, always get your bearings replaced with your discs!
Thanks, i have read that too. Just trying to figure out which would be best. Want it sorted ASAP.
Need to get my hazzards fixed too, they are a real b**ch as i don't think its the switch! Grrrrrrrrrr
Would i be better to just buy some new discs with bearings pre pressed and get these fitted? I don't want to spend out more as i feel the job hasn't been done properly in the first place but if it means i don't have this problem again. Mintex for 60 on ebay which is the cost of two new...
Hi Guys
Do the rear brake discs always include bearings? I had my discs replaced summer time last year and now my bearings are showing play? Is it likely the garage pressed my existing bearings into new discs or would my new discs have come with bearings? I don't want to fork out a load more...
Get a PS3 as this is also a blu ray player and they are just better. I have both and whilst the xbox controllers are nicer i just think the graphics are slightly better on the ps3.
Been in touch with some of the longlife depots and the best for service and price so far is Leeds. Bit of a mission up there but even with the cost of the fuel is still about 130 quid cheaper than Northampton or Bicester! Got in touch with Fred at BTM too, awaiting reply. Thanks for your...
Hi guys,
For some reason my boot light won't work? I have tried changing it for a new bulb and cleaned the contacts. Does anyone have the wiring diagram?
Cheers
I got over 40mpg out of my 182 on a long trip of a mixture of A and B roads so i would definitely go with the 182 over the 197. Plus with your budget you can get a really good 182 rather than a cut price thrashed 197!
Would love to see a pic please. Seen some decent reviews on the net from other forums. Seems to depend where you go as to what customer service and quality but generally very good feedback. Northampton is only up the road and they offer 0% for 6 months so won't have to shell out the full...
Hi Gandi,
Its not so much the bespoke system i am after, i just want a system and it fitted really. Most of the garages round here would probably bodge it to an extent. So yeah i could order a scorpion or a K-Tec but i can't fit it myself.
Hi Scott,
Would be going for the franchise in Northampton as its really close. Fred is only a bit further up the motorway. Just trying to get an idea of prices to start with. I know that Fred will do a good job as is very highly regarded on here and is only a bit further up the motorway...
Hi,
I am going to need to get a new exhaust for my clio soon as the silencers are deteriorating. Have been researching into different exhausts, Scorpion, Miltek and the like and came across LongLife. Has anyone got one of these exhausts and are they any good?
Cheers
29 mpg is rubbish!! Put some super in there and see if that makes a difference. It only costs about 5 or 6 quid extra a tank and if you get 30 extra miles a tank you break even. You should be getting at least 32 out of your clio and 55 quid for an MOT seems steep!
I would love a fiesta, i...
