That 182 looks tremendous, I like Arctic, and with those wheels, truely good combo. Car looks amazing. £100 on Cooksport springs would make the ride height spot on IMO too.
Checkout Kumho Ecsta KU39's.
Ive got 4 of em all round mine in the size you want and I really rate them, especially for the money at around £75 a corner.
They're Kumho's performance tyre and successor to the KU31 which were fab.
Some more photo's folks, a bit biased to Phase 2's I know, and my battery life was on its last legs to had to be quick to get the shots I did, sorry to those I missed - I didn't even take a photo of my own car at the meet, but got one back home after the meet.
Apologies for the quality - the...
Wow, longest Ive heard yet. With average mileage that filter will be 10/12 years old, gonna take a beating isn't it?!
Most of my previous cars have been every 4 year's.
For the sake of a tenner or so I like to get it done more regular. Probably overkill but hey.
Yeah I'm aware of the Ph1 Exclusive.
Funny really, see it alot of Ph2 end of the line 172s marked as Exclusives on Auto Trader. Wonder where it came from.
Thought the last of the line Ph2 172s we're exclusives and got CC, ESP, Multi CD changer and any other things that would have been an option were standard?
OP - Have you got the above?
Haha!! Nice work, loving the photo.
To those who are worried about dragging crap through to your engine, cars have fuel filters. Worst case you'll clog up your filter but it's a regular service item so should never be an issue for a well maintained car.
I wanted Monaco blue, but now Ive got my turini's fitted I'm damn made up with Flame red.
My fave colour is Mondial or Racing Blue though wanted ABS/out of budget.
Thanks mate! :)
Same happened to me and I had to part with my S2K :(
Thankfully a friend suggested a 172 as a viable replacement and here I am absolutely loving it.
Even though youve got/had loads of 172s to play with, Im sure they'll keep you going til the next big thing comes along :)
Sounds like we rate them the same then :)
But having to pay an extra 25% to even start getting a better tyre to me is alot and makes the Kumho even better value.
Ive just got a set of four Kumho KU39's (size: 205/45/16), £300 for the lot fitted and balanced.
They grip very well, road noise is more than acceptable, wet performance is very good (B rated) and economy is good too.
A very very good value tyre and you'd have to spend ALOT more to do better...
Thanks Cub172, been following your Flamer for a bit now - coming along nicely isn't it!
Well I just have the exhaust to fit, test both Induction Kits and choose my preference.
Further plans are that I'm considering is a live remap to get that useable mid range power and get the most out of the...
Cool, well Ive got some 15mm rear spacers up for grabs. They're the ones that bolt on behind the hub so dont put any extra strain on the rear bearings.
Ed.innit got them made, youve probs seen the thread. I bought them before thinking about Cup Alloy offsets! Duh!
Aaah bugger, I need the car during the week as I commute to Chester every day. I could get the train in one day though... Let me have a think and I'll PM you. Cheers mate!
Thanks :)
I didn't realise the term Full Fat was mutually exclusive to 182's, albeit it does have a slightly different...
