I'm enjoying it so much mate! I'm planning on keeping it mint so no worries there just need to refurb that wheel and then buff it and seal it and she will be awesome
The main appeal to me was the fact it looks just like the R26 and with the cup chassis handles nearly as well without the diff!
Engine wise feels very smooth and like you say rev well for a derv so far I'm very impressed by it
Yeah was his old one, nice guy and spent a lot of time going through everything. I wish I'd have got a flight up there now I was feeling it by the time I got home
Your lucky with a 3 hour drive! Was 12 hours total there and back but like you say it was a good un and I wanted Red/Recaros/Cup chassis R26 stickers etc so chances of finding one were pretty slim lol
Sorry it's not a Clio I'm afraid but I had to sadly part with my RB 182 due to a new arrival shortly. So being as I have to be reasonably sensible I thought I would look for a Megane DCI due to it having a good chassis brakes etc but with economy too.

Not updated this for a while so here goes...
As mentioned before I didnt like the standard wheels so I saw theese come up at a very good price so couldn't turn them down!

No big updates yet due to my holidays coming up very soon which im gonna need mega spending money for...
However did do a few free little bits on it, cleaned up my mankie seat belts using the vanish method thanks to Dr Jekyll progress thread! Then today I gave it a clay bar and a wax to seal it...
Was a small hairline crack, so I drained the oil then sanded it back cleaned it up and put some quick metal on it for a temp repair and its bone dry!
Will have to do until I get the time to sort it properly but will keep a close eye on it for sure
As soon as I wipe it clean it starts to weep again its at the gearbox end of the sump where its leaking and lower down from the gasket. Im thinking it could have gone porous?
Found some small spots of oil on the drive, cleaned off the sump a few days ago and rechecked it tonight to find its still leaking but theres no visible cracks.
Problem is i need the car for work as my other one is having work done too!
Any advice on a temp solution until i get my other car back?
