Cutting off standard exhaust - hacksaw?

Hi everyone, I need to replace my standard 182 exhaust because the back boxes are blowing, which I understand means cutting it off... Will a normal hacksaw do the job or will I need something more powerful?

Apart from the wishbones themselves do I need any other replacement parts e.g clamps or bolts that aren't reusable?

Front wishbone replacement - DIY or garage?

Thanks guys :) Scotty, I've been told that when they were fitted they weren't welded in, and the excessive movement has damaged the bushes and the part that they should have been welded to. Hoping to get the Axel stands out this morning and see for myself.

Front wishbone replacement - DIY or garage?

Hi everyone, I've been told that my 182 needs two new front wishbones as a previous owner's made a bodge job of fitting poly bushes resulting a lot of movement :( I'm a fairly competent DIY'er, is it a particularly difficult job? I'm guessing that new wishbones from Renault come with new bushes...

    Budget OBD2 reader that works?

Good morning all... I have an abs problem that I'm trying to track down (only gives an error when the car is started from cold). I bought a cheapo Bluetooth obd2 reader from Amazon and along with some android software it reads all kinds of info like revs, vacuum etc... But not error codes! It...

Help needed identifying engine mounts and dogbone fitting

Help needed identifying engine mounts and dogbone fitting

Finally had a crack at realigning my engine mounts yesterday, didn't think it had made much difference to begin with... But having driven the car for a bit they've settled right down and although they're not perfect, they're a lot better than they were! :) It no longer feels like I'm...

Help needed identifying engine mounts and dogbone fitting

Having read the various replies I can't wait to get outside and try to sort my k-tec mounts out (well, it's raining and dark so maybe I can wait a while!). There seems to be such a difference of opinion!

Help needed with cambelt / aux belt history

I've booked this in for a change of both belts today after a change of heart, not worth taking the risk imo. Still playing on my mind though, if I could find out what that part number for the 'timing kit' referred to all could be revealed...

Help needed with cambelt / aux belt history

Morning everyone, I've been looking through the service history of my 182 to see if the cambelt has ever been replaced (and if it hasn't, it will be!). I took the car off of a family member as a swap so wasn't too bothered at the time about its history etc but want to make sure I maintain it...

Ah, thanks. Does anyone know how I'd go about realigning them?

Help needed identifying engine mounts and dogbone fitting

Ok so it sounds like my options are: realign them, if through vibration doesn't get better replace them with oem or powerflex.

Help needed identifying engine mounts and dogbone fitting

TBH I'm still undecided about them. My main concern is finding out if they're fitted properly and there's nothing I can do to improve the situation... It does handle brilliantly so it's probably just me not being used to the car.

Help needed identifying engine mounts and dogbone fitting

Thanks guys, is the best way to realign them slack them off a bit (supporting the engine if course) and then re-tightening?

Help needed identifying engine mounts and dogbone fitting

Evening all, following on from this thread where I'm trying to identify why there's so much engine vibration rattling through my car.... I've taken some pictures of my engine mounts - I'm fairly sure that the dog bone is powerflex but can anyone identify the other two for me? It would also be...

Engine mounts - are some too harsh?

No worries :) I think the best thing for me to do is to take some pics of the mounts and see if anyone can id them.

Engine mounts - are some too harsh?

I did wonder whether changing one mount back to oem would put more pressure on it since all the movement would be transferred to that one mount...

Engine mounts - are some too harsh?

That's interesting, I take it changing the dogbone made a big difference then?!

Engine mounts - are some too harsh?

My cs 182 has a large amount of vibration through the interior (well, I say large but it's the first 182 I've been in so it's hard to put it in context). I know that the previous owner has changed the engine mounts at some point but no idea which brand have been put in... I'm loathed to just...

Rear suspension spring bushes - are they bolted on?

Evening all! On a cs 182 are the rear spring bushes (the rubber ones that the rear suspension springs sit on) secured to the car in any way, or do they just sit under the spring? I've had a look at a few pictures of people changing suspension etc but can't tell for sure - thanks!
