Saw your car sat in the leamington 100 event, i was gonna park next to you but i was in the tvr so i was on the other side with all the odd old stuff lol.
Looked clean even with the battle scared cf splitter.
Also how you get so low?!
Know him, i spent 4 years in a halfords store with him lol. he phones up now n then to wind up my staff from head office.
I recall a clean meg way back in that time summer was apparently here in the uk, where did you escape to?
ill give him a shout, make sure im not going to having him sending angry mobs after me, i wont be doing full time clio stuff as i mostly do motorbike and tvr bits, thought id just throw a rope out here and see what happens. :)
Seeing as its clio bits im doing and that everyone loves a bit of carbon i thought i would show you guys my latest hobby.
It started out with skinning carbon over tvr dashboard bits and then i thought i may as well have a go at the clio stuff to, i intend to set up a website with a gallery and...
Sat in the car right now with the rst plugged in, laptop to hand and i just unlocked and set the rst to my car and scanned the ecu, it works and found the ecu has had 3 updates in its life before.
The last one was done 20/11/03 on a U-DIE (NXR) programming tool, another 2 just before that by a...
quick update between easter eggs.
My rs tuner box has arrived, will crack on with that soon, i've started working on carbon skinning random bits and getting good results, somehow lost half the passenger side inner arch on the m25 last week, scared the crap out of me.
Just the many trolly dents...
They can look good when done right, i used to have one back when i was a into the whole performance vaux thing.
however that one makes me want to punch a baby narwhal!
so, little update, 3000 miles later (i get around a bit) and its still going good, love it so much i hopped on the group buy and got the uprated mounts, nabbed an rs tuner box and decided to start up a carbon fiber skinning hobby, might even go so far as taking orders once i perfect my...
thanks for the replies folk, i have a usb obd reader that i use to clear the code when it comes on, always comes back on 100 miles after i turned it off, i just got an rst on its way to me i thought it might get rid of it with a new map, but the 2nd sensors more about cat efficiency ... should...
get rid of the warning light on my dash for the decat ive put in?
It will be on the old style rst that ill be flashing a map to the 172 cup with.
Its probably a stupid question but its a monday and my brains not awake.
sounds like the dvi connection might be a little loose, the cables broken and have a loose connection (give it a wiggle see what happens) or the cards getting to hot and falling on its arse.
yea i know lol. its just faster then waiting for post if he's desperate for one.
to be honest i just bought that from the link you gave as the amperage is better then halfords hcb063 and that link above.
Yea id say its probably time for a new one, get a HCB063 from halfords, calcium batteries are better, pack a bit more punch, less shite in winter and 4 Year Guarantee. £76
Well 1000 miles later and the EML has come on, turns out its the decat triggering it so i've ordered a spacer to tide me over until the remap.
One other thing ive noticed is there's a tiny amount of oil sitting on top of the rocker cover, i'd assume it was from the last service but as i did...
Also get your tracking checked out, lower your tire pressures, go for something with a softer outer tread like a prada spec 2 (sketchy when wet though.) and some sort of camber adjusters if you really want to push it.
Sounds right, remember your putting the power down at the front, without an lsd to help sort out were power goes to get you round the bend it will always try and go straight, your best to feed in the power after mid corner not jump on it like a discarded carton of umbongo on the floor.
