It's the one thing that's always in the back of my mind on this car, and it's kind of what's stopped me so far throwing a hybrid at it.
Mine was pulling power but in 2nd and 4th,I now believe it was because the clutch was damaged in a minor bump but you could see it pulling back on the dyno...
Like I said on FB, I need!
Although I want mine more standard so I'd be losing a good 20 bhp I reckon.
What did it do pre map or was it not safe to run?
Knock sensor was a bit iffy also. I still believe after having the front off mine that someone had a light knock in it which is where the damage resulted to the front itself and the clutch
It's clear as day on a dyno though when the clutches are slipping, mind couldn't hold standard boost at all in 2nd,4th and 6th.
1st, 3rd and 5th was fine.
Hope you don't get told your clutches were slipping like I did.
That was a very expensive 30 bhp 😭
I'm always worrying I'll be told they're doing it again next time I take it, as there was nothing visibly wrong with them I was told.
I need to have it tested soon for peace of mind.
Did you decide on a front mount? I'm still swaying towards a wagner...
See I only really want a fmic and a turbo, less power yes but it won't change the car as it is now and it's really only a school run car as it is!
It's the most popular car on the school run according to the 7 year olds 😎😎😭😂
Sounds exactly like what I put on mine, about 8 minutes after I took it off 😂
I kept the 220 elbow and k tec hose.
The gfb valve stayed as I couldn't be bothered putting the stock one back on.
Made zero difference come map 😭😂
Really need a hybrid, I'm watching this build eagerly!
I've had mk1 clios, mk2 clios, mk2 meganes, driven mk3 clios and mk3 meganes frequently and personally I think the mk4 clio has the best road chassis of all of them,
I tried trophy springs on standard cup dampers and it was horrifically bad, then with trophy dampers which improved but not as much as I was hoping, then cooksports on the trophy dampers which was sooooo much better.
The best setup is the standard cup chassis easily, the issue is it sits so...
It's the most grippy of all the cars I've had, you can really throw it,
It feels like a more mature Williams to me, it's the one I come back to out of all my renault sports when people ask
Cooksports on trophy dampers made mine perfect for daily use.
The issue with these cars is when you encounter an issue you find half the time you're the first and therefore on your own!!
Software on a ph1 will still not make it on par with a ph2 box.
Personally when I was looking there was not enough box wise to spend the extra stupid 5k difference at the time.
When I drove them both in manual as I always do it just felt the same.
I prefer the look of the ph1s, mines...
