It'll be CSS before we know it!
It's the 1st august - incase you hadn't seen, more info here: http://www.cliosportsaturday.net
It makes sense to have a little convoy for such an occasion. I am traveling from Leicester, via the A46 and then the A156. Plenty of opportunity for Nottingham...
I was looking at getting a couple of gauges to monitor oil pressure and temperature but I am not keen on the options for mounting them. Decent gauges aren't exactly cheap either!
With this in mind I am now thinking of going the whole hog and replacing the existing dash with an after market...
Run What Ya Brung - Throughout the year
Santa Pod Raceway in Northamptonshire offers the cheapest and most accessible public track time in the UK. For just £10 admission and £25 to "sign on", you can take your car and motorcycle out on the famous quarter-mile dragstrip and test it's...
This is a regular get together in the East Midlands, it occurs on the last Sunday of every month and it's an established part of the East Midlands 'meets'.
The meet is at the Tawny Owl pub at balderton, just off the A1 and only a couple of miles down from the A46, so hopefully easy for anyone...
Hi everyone,
Just a quick introduction really. Area reps have now been finalised for the different regions and as some of you may have noticed there are now many more of us. For the East Midlands @-Danman- covering Nottinghamshire and Derby and I will be covering the Leicestershire area...
I am after the following info so I can get some custom braided hoses made up as the 197 lines are just too long:
What is the length of the front flexi hoses on a 1*2?
Also, what are the 197/200 Brembo flexi hose fittings called?
Since there is a few of us meeting up tomorrow to (probably) chat about how awesome our french automobiles are, I thought it would be a good idea to give the old girl a quick clean.
Meeting in question: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?736467-Leicester-meet
It still cleans up ok...
There are quite a few members in and around Leicester now, so I think it's about time we had a meet!

The air filter I have, despite being practically new, is looking awful and showing signs of rust.
Any recommendations for a replacement would be dandy!
*What's a Turbo 182 like?
Built by Andyrg and Clioturbo.co.uk
Apologies for the quality, but hopefully it demonstrates how well these engines respond to boost.

I am after a Bluetooth stereo for my 182, I don't want anything flash and ideally I want something that "fits" well with the standard interior - my current alpine sticks out like a sore thumb.
Any advice or suggestions are most welcome,
My dad wants winter tyres (lets not turn this into a winter tyre debate :rasp:) and instead of purchasing a separate set of wheels he is considering having the summers removed and the winters fitted - vice versa in the spring.
Is the harmful to the tyres in anyway?
Since the clio will be running a reasonable amount of horsepower I have started to look for a more performance orientated tyre than my P-Zero neros for the summer.
These are road legal and astonisghingly cheap, but for fair weather use (I have a few sets of wheels and wouldn't be used often)...
George's turbo 182 project.
I have owned my FF 182 for over 3 years now, I purchased it as a 40k mile - full service history car and it was in pretty good condition for its age.
Initially the plan was to keep it completely standard and up until now I have done reasonably well!
Firstly...
I am very nearly ready to start the build - just need some advice on a couple more bits.
Would a phase 1 cable throttle set up be beneficial in any way?
Also - as far as aftermarket management goes : what features would I loose if I didn't use the gen90 (I have a ff182) and are there other...
From what I have read most turbo conversions on here use helix paddle clutches.
I have been in touch with helix and the 4 paddle clutch is only rated for 230lbft of torque!
Are there any other options?
I am about to commence my turbo build and I am after some turbo recommendations.
I will be running a forged block and the engine dynamics exhaust manifold.
Thanks in advance!
Does anyone have experience of both?
I am leaning towards the Brembos because I will be able to run a 300mm disc and of course because the conversion is significantly cheaper..
Right, so I followed the guide for fitting the boss and it all went swimmingly.
However, now I have put it all back together the boss seems to be rubbing on the 'clock spring' (at least I think that's what it is)
Do I need it? I had to move it out of the way to change indicator stalks and it...
We had a couple of hours to spare and both cars were looking a little worse for wear, so a quick wash had to be done.
I will never buy a black car again! (Although cleaning them is rewarding)
I am eternally jealous of my mates 130i though - it really is an awesome motor.
Enjoy!
Before...
Its looking increasingly likely that I will be buying a forged engine for a turbo build.
Is it worth storing my 75k full service history 182 engine as a 'spare'?
If so, what's the best way to store it?
Thanks in advance.
I am looking to do some retrimming bits and I am trying to get the best match possible.
Does anyone know if 9052 (the colour code) is the nearest to oem?
Thanks in advance
An interim service and thorough check-over by Mick at Diamond Motors, plus a set of cheap steels (cheers Nick172Cup) and 4 195/50/15 Hancook W310 I*cept Evo tires and she is all set! In cold and wet conditions the difference between these tires and my summer pirellis is staggering - if you enjoy...
