Have you tried fitting the pedal box yet? The model I bought from CompBrake, I sent back because the fit was 'a bit off' and the weight was almost twice the advertised weight. They didn't answer any of my emails and I had to get a refund via Paypal in the end. I hope you have better luck...
Hi All
I'm about to fit a Tilton brake bias valve to my Cup (sprint and hillclimb car) and was hoping somebody who has successfully done this could confirm the way they've plumbed it.
I was planning on taking the rear brake feed from one of the ports on the master cylinder and blanking off the...
Hi all
I'm thinking of fitting just the top half of the dash to my Cup (sprint and hillclimb car) and was hoping that somebody who has done this can tell me if it supports itself without the dash bar?
Thanks
Wyn
11.9 is an additional class for Standard Cars (5000 plus produced per year) - there don't appear to be any changes to regs for Roadgoing Series Production Cars and Roadgoing Specialist Production Cars apart from mentions of the Standard Car Class.

There are no restrictions in the Blue Book on which wheels you can use.
Also, 1B tyres are allowed in road going categories ("11.6.2. Except for Period Defined Vehicles (Non-Rally) A-H inclusive tyres are to L List 1A and List 1B").
Individual championships may introduce their own classes...
Welsh Sprint and Hillclimb Championship. I live in West Wales so my best option. Ran in the road rally class this yet and did ok. Championship is based on class records. Going mod prod next season :-)
Some useful info gents. Thanks.
For me the main focus , isn't the weight saving from the tank, fittings although it would be good to make a saving, but the ability to control the amount of fuel I'm carrying around - I have a strong feeling that there is quite a large reserve in the original...
Thanks Mash
Rear impact was my concern too. Using the passenger side of the original location seemed like the best option, a bit like this but smaller and MSA compliant -
Access for refuelling needs to be good as it'll get refuelled before every run (so up to 6 times a day!)
Hi all
I'm planning on fitting a small fuel tank (1 gallon) in my 172 Cup. It is only used for sprints and hillclimbs. I want to limit the amount of fuel carried for weight purposes.
Anybody done this?
The options seem to be:
fit in the spare wheel well (which will need a plate with removable...
It's sometimes easier to cut the live feed to the coil from the ECU. Carteks tend to be fine as long as you don't try and use them to isolate too large a current.

The best way to read the changes is to look at what's changed in the link and also look at the 2016 Blue Book - if it's not changed it should be the same as this year. Tyre lists may change although there doesn't seem to be any news and the meeting was a couple of weeks ago I think.
From what I can see, the only changes to the Sprint and Hillclimb section relate to the Standard Car class so road going series production won't change.
This year, I ran my Cup in the Welsh Championship's road rally class but was usually dumped into A2 for most events - finished second overall...
I use a simple clamp (photo attached) . I've clamped to the passenger seat (video here - - a bit of vibration) and to the roll cage / ROPS (video from yesterday here - - very greasy!)
Yeah it is a bit short! And it's a 350 mile round journey to get here!
I'm going to try and hit some apexes today!
The camera does have a higher resolution setting but I couldn't use it with the camera on the front as I have to start recording efore joining the queue so I'd run out of memory...
Here's some footage from my el cheapo camera mounted on the front panel: shows the timing beam on the start line James.
Please ignore the video - this was my first time at Charmouth - I will be quicker tomorrow (although today's time did beat the Welsh class record) !
Yes but rules are rules and all that! The timing strut has to be set at a certain height and has to be the most forward bit of the car. Everything is timed to a hundredth of a second so it does need to be accurate!
