Checked voltage and is still 11.48. Starting to think it is a dodgy alternator.
Also I have noticed my petrol light is intermittent weather it comes up or not, the car as same amount in it for a while as it's not moved for ages and the needle is clearly very low
Hi guys I replaced my alternator on my 172 with air con at the weekend and all looked good all running okay but then realised the stop and battery light is on now
The alternator is second hand from renparts and is the right 110amp.
I have checked the earth earth on it and is nice and tight...
When I was plugging that little plug back in, inside I was looking like only one side I could see the female prongs.
What would the replacement plug be called
Well I thought I had, it kept slipping off but in the end I got it but the jubilee wouldnt do up any more and seemed like it was skipping rather than tightening.
It wasnt a real jubilee clip was an unbranded make. Maybe it wasnt up to the job? It was 70mm - 120mm but seemed to big.

Hi guys struggling to get the tensioner to loosen up enough for belt.
I have got the belt off was a bit of a struggle but putting belt back on is way tight.

I have left my clio 172 stood still all over winter and had a dead battery, replaced battery but now alternator is getting extremely hot and smoking.
How hard is it to replace alternator and belt?

finally after driving a few other boring cars I'm back in an rs however not a clio I've had enough of those and are a bit to small for me these days.
in Wednesday I will be picking up a renaultsport dci 175 cup with lux pack.
it has 113k miles and will come with dpf delete along...
Last two were spot on, found the caliper was sticking and not releasing after braking.
Makes sense thinking the heat has thrown the weight off the car too.

I have just driven it again and today it whobbled a little when driving but lots more when I was braking l, can't look under the car until tomorrow,
The discs are less than 1k miles old so surely can't be warped.

I have an unbalanced wheel at the front and yesterday afternoon the steering went seriously wobbly and shaking but also that wheel was really hot too.
