    It only takes 10mins to swap over the resistor pack to check if thats the problem. Its expensive though so you dont want to buy one unless you need to, any chance you can borrow one to check?

    Ended up buying a new 1 from renault for £126 n it still dosent work :( Id shorted pins 1&5 and the fan comes on full power so made what i thought was a pretty safe assumption that this was the problem.     nah occurs when using the clutch noise when pressing it down, no noise on release dosent sound like a wheel bearing either to high pitched!
