Worse that could happen is dephasher develops a noise and you will have to get belts done again if decide to replace it! For piece of mind get the lot done in one hit and enjoy it without that worry. Only going to save you hundred quid if you risk not having dephasher done anyway.
Thanks, I've gone with alpine white, black leather. I would have liked red leather but the wife point blank told me that was not an option lol Wasn't going to push my luck ;)
Due to the wife expecting our first baby in July, my 172 is making way for a more practical substitute. Don't ask me how but I managed to use my man maths in persuading the wife that the car we need is a new m135i :) Ordered a 5 door a few months ago and finally collecting in a couple of weeks...
Just after confirmation that the obd reader has detected. Car is running very lumpy, under powered, misfiring, had a similar issue before and it turned out to be an injector. The scanner shows 2 faults and reads as follows - p0203 injector circuit/open cylinder 3, single cylinder misfire...
Last winter my car starting sounding like an impreza and power was down, had it plugged in and it came up with an injector fault. Replaced said injector and fault was fixed, car ran fine and light eventually went off dash. This week the same thing has happened, seems to be when we have had a...
It's a fair point you make, it certainly isn't an issue him running a 172, just a little awkward if things do go wrong but for the price I'd say these cars are worth the risk.
There is that risk that something could fail even with a well looked after example and there is that doubt whether it is worth the risk selling to a relative due to that very reason. He knows I wouldn't off load it to him if it was a shed but anything can happen with a car this age and it could...
Firstly, due to change of circumstances and the need for a practical 5 door car, I'm gutted to be having to sell my 172 flamer after nearly 4 years of thorough enjoyment.
Secondly, this forum has been a pleasure to frequent, although I have been more of a lurker over the years than a heavy...
Just changed battery but haven't got book with code for radio. There is couple of numbers on the cd changer unit underneath seat. On one side it has 82 00 002 656a, other side is c9rn832c10542559. I've put last 4 digits of each code but to no avail, the last number just flashes, I presume it...
Can't really find many options for winter tyres on 16's, no budget ones seem to be available when trying black circles etc online, the Yokohama ones are about the cheapest so think it will have to be those unless anyone knows of any other places to try.
I did search for an all weather tyre but like you say there is nothing really out there for the smaller size. Yes the price was fully fitted, could probably go cheaper but thought the Yokohama seemed like a happy medium. I suppose if a cheap winter tyre would be up for the job that might be the...
In preperation for another undoubted miserable, cold, snowy winter I've been searching for some winter tyres to cope with the chaos it generally causes. My front kumho's are just about on the way out and with the rears not great either I thought it would be a perfect time to replace all four...
