    E85 3.0 Z4 Roadster Project

Car is looking fantastic Rob, wheels suit it down to the ground. Epic seat jealousy going on. Aux in exactly where I have mine, and iPod/phone in string pocket/under handbrake - bosh. Just buy the lights, because if you don't I'll have to buy the lights... Oh yeah except I need a new roof...

    E85 3.0 Z4 Roadster Project

Re: E85 3.0 Z4 Roadster Project (Thanks for answers) Sooo jealous of your seats mate, the standards are poor for hooligan driving and after an hour or so they hurt my back. M seats are 'ballin.

Lol I'll need mine when I sell my car to the mother (no really..) Aquatics shops is a god shout, the finer Juwel filter media is a similar-ish consistency and it comes in quite big blocks.

    E85 3.0 Z4 Roadster Project

135i is lovely, had a mate who had one - rocket ship. Awesome brakes too! Do love the idea of a twin turbo diesel though, and as a 'sensible' car and one to keep for a bit think it's a fantastic all rounder. Saying that I also looked at Saab 9-3 1.9 TTiD Aero's, they're for nothing! It's...

    E85 3.0 Z4 Roadster Project

It's just a foam cylinder, if you ever need it I can measure the one I took out, it's about 4" long 2" diameter. I've only got the cabin side one out. I've got an epic itch for something a bit more substantial atm, 123d coupe is calling me haha.

    E85 3.0 Z4 Roadster Project

Rob can't you just stick the foam back in the generator/cut some to size? Looks like you've been having fun, mines not moved - living at the top of a steep bank means I'd never get home lol

    Few Z4 Pics

Lovely that, the E89's look so mean from the front. Cheeky M5 lurking in the background? Proper garage!!!

    External HD Advice

Morning All, Having had the power supply die last week on my iMac (replaced under applecare) I've realised it's really time I backed up all my stuff. So, I'm going to start using time machine and backing up all my music/photos etc. - but what's the best HD? I've not got LOADS of stuff, maybe...

Gave the car a quick wash after a drive to Blackpool and back, and my OEM chrome/black grills arrived. Look loads better IMO! Also can see the difference the headlights made Z4 Black Grills by TECribb, on Flickr Z4 Black Grills by TECribb, on Flickr Just iPhone pics, will have to have...

    E85 3.0 Z4 Roadster Project

Looking really fresh Rob, silver does suit them. I'm tempted by the eibachs, need to see some back to back pics I think will have a search - only problem been our drive is on a slope so it could end badly...

*Clean with soapy water *Wet sand with Wet and Dry 1200 paper lubricate with soapy water (I used Megs APC) *Polish with DA and a fairly coarse polish (I then used a fine polish to finish) Done :)

I detailed mine just after I got it Chris, first ever outing with a machine polisher. Wish I understood polishes etc. more :( 3.5mm Aux in added, DIY cable costing about £11 and some basic soldering skillzz IMG_1111 by TECribb, on Flickr

    My Z4 (E85)

It's not fantastic, I'd love to have it re-sprayed but have 1,000,000 things that are above that in the monies priority list. There's a few chips and up close it's quite peppered with white bits... but it's a 9 year old car that's done coming up 90,000 miles so not worth worrying about (I will...

All done... Before DSC_0053 by TECribb, on Flickr After... Z4 corrected headlights by TECribb, on Flickr So pleased, it was the one thing that really 'dated' the car IMO. And it appears they haven't misted up at all, they we're just that fogged from all the miles. Result!

Ouch!!! The CSL's have Falken 452's in the proper size, I paid £450 for 4 with the wheels, another reason that I bought them! Yours is an E89 isn't it Alan? My parents had one but only the smallest engine (23 sdrive I think?) nice car but more cruiser less sports car than the E85.

    My Z4 (E85)

Mine did 34.4MPG that was cruising at 80 for around 150 miles with a bit of town stop/start at the end, not sure how the VX's are on fuel... I am really impressed with how they feel roof up, just like a 'normal car' really! Would love one but 3x the cost of this one :( have a house and a 3.0...

    My Z4 (E85)

Thanks for all the positive comments guys, surprised at the lack of 'what a gayers car' etc. Gally - here's one with black grills (that I'm in the process of trying to acquire) and also clear lights on the front (and silver wheels...) As Rob said they are an absolute ballache to do as you...

    My Z4 (E85)

Wheels are an individual choice I think, I just think the silver doesn't go as well with the grey, any other colour I think silver edges it, but grey just doesn't work for me: I'd like eibachs at some point but having a drive on quite a slant it could cause problems Black/chrome grills were...

    My Z4 (E85)

See I am not a fan of silver on Sterling Grey, to me it just doesn't look right... There's a few on the Z4 forum and it's just not for me. Haha, do it. It's fine in the crap weather and great when it's nice! I looked at a few AUC cars, but they we're all facelifts, £10k + and not in the best...

    My Z4 (E85)

The hyper silver looks naff IMO, and the normal silver aren't as staggered hence deciding on the anth, I think they suit the colour of the car well too. 19's would be nice but I think you'd need to lower it to get it to sit right. I think the anthracite would look great on silver! Need to sell...

I think there's a few of these kicking around the forum now, Rob's been the one that springs to mind first. Sold the 182 a few weeks back, and bought this 2003 '03 BMW Z4 3.0i with 87,000 on the clock - and I love it Spec wise it's got the electric/heated seats and the OEM wind deflector...
