    Buying new alloys help required

Need to know: 4 x 100 bolt pattern et 35-45 should be ideal centre bore 60.1 15" often preferred; cheaper tyres, i felt mine handled better on 15" pro race 1.2s than 16" 182 cup wheels.

Help me reassemble my rear breaks please!

All better now! Thanks for your quick responses... decided if it was Fubar I'd try a little harder before a new calliper. Removed the boot, cleaned the piston and y pushing and turning (a lot!) eventually wound it in after all. feel a bit of a numpty but job jobbed. Now she needs a good...

Help me reassemble my rear breaks please!

As the title... Offside is back together perfectly, got to the near side and this is as far as I can get... Yes I've wound the piston in (clockwise) as far as it'll go... There's no way I can bolt that carrier back on!!! Yes the handbrake is off. Undo the blled nipple and squeeze all the fluid...

Things you didnt know about your clio

I use this feature all the time to leave the dog in the car. I believe it has to be with the door open, ignition on-off twice, 3 beeps when you lock it confirms it's disabled. Also, front fogs only work with the headlights switched on, not on auto. Took me a while to work that out, think I've...

Number plates - drilled or stuck?

100% stuck/ velcro'd. It bothers me every time i see one that Merc dealers always use 4 silver screws per plate, looks fugly!!

What Splitter is this? (Not Cup Splitter)

This. It's hideous in design and looks like it's the result of 10 minutes with a jigsaw, some MDF and blackboard paint.

    1.2 Project - ted48

Get some new numberplates made up, the ones on there are starting to delaminate and will let down any other efforts you make towards improving the looks. Clear side repeaters, fogs, colour code some of the black plastics. I wouldn't do much more.

Scuttle drains, am I missing something?

Wow that's bad! It was the centre drain that was blocked on mine, you'll need to remove the wiper arms and both parts of the scuttle panels to get in from above and it's still an arse to find the outlet in the engine bay side of the bulkhead, right down by the exhaust manifold. Be aware that...

    Paint work. Mondial blue d43

In my limited experience of arctic blue (very similar) sealants give a vastly better finish than the waxes I've used... Dodo supernatural left it looking as flat as RB; zaino z2 and (seperately) CQuartz/ reload gave sooooo much more sparkle to the metallic flake and such depth to the colour.

What was the first thing you did to your Clio?

Brakes: Brembo discs, greenstuff pads (I found them fine for road use despite what everyone on here will say) and braided lines. Silvervisions, stubby aerial and skoda splitter because sheep!

    Alternator Bracket

ummmm, vital?! without it the alternator is only fixed by one (much more solid) bolt... Can't see the belt keeping the correct tension with the alternator allowed to pivot!

    Sad times - She's a write-off

Well Steve got it spot on, i've argued up as much as they'll go and this afternoon accepted £2750. It doesn't quite seem enough to directly replace her but really i guess i'm fussing over about £200. And i may have already alleviated them of the cup spoiler, the 182 alloys w. Eagle F1s, the...
