Going to be bleeding the brakes today, currently spongey due to previous owner not having access to a clip to run the ABS.
Just wondering what the procedure is with this. Im going to flush the system at the same time. Ive done brakes before but never had to touch the abs, is it the same...
Passed you yesterday around 15.30 just south of Stonehaven.
Car looked great! Looked like you were having troubles with the sun though with no visors lol.
After some advise,
Move in to our new home in 3 weeks, ordered my tv this week which is 55" and will be wall mounted. I want to mount the tv without a unit below and ideally have my sky box hidden somewhere else in the house or room if un noticable.
My aerial socket is at the other side of...
Does anyone know the route the ph2 cup racers ran their fuel line?
I have the full set up and would be good to run it the same route to ensure the hose reaches the pump.
Any help appreciated :)
Recently stripped the steering rack down in preparation for fitting EPAS.
I've tried everywhere to get plugs for the holes with no luck. Is there anywhere i can get these made? Planning on making a loop for the middle like most on here, I've had to chop the pipes to remove though to get the...
Back in a clio again! This time just purely for a track toy, and something to play with while waiting on the Golf arriving (If it ever does).
Got a text from @Fraser.J. asking if i fancied his cup (http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?752838-172-cup-bargain-project-to-be-mint!), been...
Decided to make a project thread for the car to keep everything together, instead of the various threads in media.
Bought the car from Mark (Dr Jekyll) in October 2013 as most will know. Only used as a weekend car so the miles won't change much.
Currently on 78k, with the following mods...
Not that the engine bay was particularly bad before, i just wanted to give it more of an OEM look rather than all the red etc.
So, first image was taken the first week i bought the car:

As a few of you may know i bought Mark's (Dr Jekyll) 182 a couple of month ago for a weekend car. Went through a stage recently of wanting to sell, mainly finding it hard coming back to a 182 from a big BMW cruiser.
Anyway, that stage has past and it is now staying ;) Forgot how much fun these...
Happened a few times now, each time the engine has been warmed up and running for a while.
Basically sometimes when I go above 5k on a blast the car just puts itself in to limp mode. Turning on and off clears it and all is fine after that. The first time I just assumed I had hit the limiter and...
So after recently selling the BMW I slowly began looking at 172's/182's again, not long in I started speaking to Mark (Dr Jekyll) about his beautiful BG 182 that he was contemplating selling. A few pm's and phone calls later we came to a deal and I booked flights down to Stansted to meet Mark...
Well after a significant increase in miles at work i decided to move to something a bit more economical. Picked it up a few weeks ago, its the E92 320D with 177bhp.
So far first impressions have been very good, so smooth and a much nicer place to be. Lots of torque there as well, feels much...
With CSS next week i pushed my self to finally giving the grills etc a fresh lease of life as they were getting way to faded. Used regular satin black, took the front bumper off and got to work. Gave the engine bay a quick clean as well.
Turned out 'nae' bad.

As i needed two front tyres for the car i thought it was a good excuse to get 2118's and 4 T1R's. Gotta love the thinking!
After never really seeing an inferno on anthracite 2118's i thought it would be a good choice, and hence not that sheepish
Taken straight after fitting so yes the...
Handed the car in to the garage today to get my cat back miltek fitted. It came with a decat, however wanted to see how loud it was first before I fitted that.
Anyway just had a call off the garage there saying they will need to make some sort of reducer for the exhaust to fit to the cat...
The dog was in lazy mode today after a walk so thought i'd make the most of it and practice with camera.
First time really coming off "auto mode", difference is like night and day!
Anyway here is the results:

Due to the severe boredom of the holidays i decided to begin cleaning up the engine bay.
Thanks to the rain i only managed the inlet plenum and rocker cover done, still need to do the fuel rail guard and mount + a general clean.
Happy with the results, gets rid of the oil and grease...
Behind the oil cap, pretty sure the vvt cable plugged in to it?
Is it safe to just pull out?
Just making sure there's no 'special' way it's to be put back in?
Yes I'm a noob, all this effort to paint!
Pick it up this week hopefully, very happy with it :D
Plans are simple, get the wheels anthracite and change the exhaust.
Anyway, here's a few rubbish phone pics for just now...
Been offered an inferno off a friends dad recently. Been looked after, fsh etc. Not sure what model it is but has the cruise control and aircon, with silver 182 wheels. The only down fall is that the belts have still to be done. The cars on 49k at the moment, says i can take it for £3100.
Does...
