I have an annoying squealing noise when I drop into 5th gear but cog it down to say 4th it goes away. When the car has warmed up its still there but not as loud. Really peeing me off!!
Any clues chaps?
Check your inner sills arent blocked up....located at the bottom edge of where your sill trim is bottom of wheel arch. i had this problem had loadsa crap in side like sand and road dirt ie sludge. once cleared out ive had no probs had loads of water getting in caused the passenger side foot well...
hiya mate I had this problem my passenger side footwell carpet and soundproofing was soaked.....found out after inspection that water was coming through a hole that was located for the rear wash wipe pipe, i located it after taking the screen washer bottle out and the rubber bung that secured...
I to have it on but i need a new drivers seat belt pretensioner as the old limit switch under the seat has cracked off the bracket that is riveted to the base of the seat.
Do's anyone have one for sale? my airbag light is on but no amount of jiggling will sort it!!!

Replaced drivers seat but limit switch for pretensioner broke off its base!! now serv light on and airbag! can you buy just the wiring loom and limit switch with clip for base of seat?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Just to update....after lots of initial groundwork, new engine purchased with genuine 37k miles from an 04-54 plate clio, all essential timing and auxillery belts ordered just arranging fitting at local garage hopefully lambs at clowne in derbyshire. A very costly repair but after lots of advise...
Yesterday my clio jumped a cog on the timing belt and is now no longer a runner! :( Just really wanting some info on what my options are either to rebuild or drop in a new motor and timing belt kit....Any info on what to do and what is available would be very much appreciated guys....
