This guide tells how to get to the squib ring:

Not ABS sensor, benevs meant the brake light switch on top brake pedal.
To me it sounds like it's ur squib ring anyway, steering angle sensor behind the steering wheel. Did your friend drop the steering column down to take out the rack?
Have a look here...
Undo the bolts holding the lower bracket to the gearbox itself, about 4-6 bolts on the front and side of the gearbox, one of the bolts is also the earth strap. Once the bracket is unbolted you will need to jack the gearbox with some wood on the jack to take the weight (don't jack on anything...
Admiral arn't great at claims handling, I had a 50-50 incident (both parties on a single track road failed to stop in snow and bumped into each other head on) they tried to settle against me 100% because the other guy had a witness? lol quick letter from my liability team sorted them out.
This^^
This is why I go out on inspections and argue TP claims that come in, I can't understand they had pictures of your car- did they not match their damage to your car? This is one of the first things that should happen? Did they not ask you the speed of impact, any injuries, passenger...
Third part credit hire got hold of him and persuaded him to claim, hence the uninsured losses such as loss of earnings etc....
Luckily were slowly but surely stamping these people out the market
Fees, credit hire, whiplash and inflated damage estimates. See this all the time as an insurance engineer. I spend a lot of time disputing TP repair costs etc. your insurers would have reviewed the outlay before paying out, normally I would ask for images of your vehicle closer the time, who...
Not really, don't think there's any polybushes made for the rear anyway. If you want to upgrade the rear then the best place to start is a white line rear anti roll bar.
More vibration through the dash now, made my knee protection on the steering coloumn housing vibrate annoyingly, take off the trim under the steering coloumn and remove the polystyrene stuff.
Unplugging the map sensor will just force the car to revert back to open loop so would run ok as it won't use any sensors. Ignition advance was going crazy, I'd start with the O2 sensor and check the knock sensor.
That data graph shows your O2 sensor isn't working, did you use a decent make? And did you plug it into the correct loom? Didn't plug the front into the rear loom etc?
Anybody have any experience with FORTE Diff & Gear Treatment or Holts molyslip gearbox protector? If they do what they say then they might quieten it down but don't know if they are any good?
I think it may be play/wear between the layshaft splines, during the transition from the layshaft being engine-driven to road-driven. (pressure being applied to both sides of the splines rather than one side or the other).
That would explain the low RPM and coasting symptoms we all have?
Just a quick thought, this only became noticable when I did a clutch change, new Valeo clutch and bearing, but I also replaced the clutch cable with the newer style one with weights on it, might have a look to see if the weights are making the clutch fork resonate the the thrust bearing...
A video wouldn't pick it up to be honest, its a distant/ quiet whine, Agency said they replaced the input shaft bearing, spoke to them and they don't know what it is either, but they did say if it gets worse/ goes bang then they will fix it for free.
Would a wheel bearing be affected by...
Did you ever find out what this was?
Mine has the same symptoms, had the box just rebuilt by Agency Transmissions but still there? New driveshaft did'nt fix it either....
Hi Guys
My 182 is idling pretty rough.
I've fitted a lightweight flywheel and decat etc so i'm expecting it to be harsh in all honesty, but the other day I got an error in "Knock Circuit 1 fault". Recently when cold with my foot to the floor it bogs down, feels like a two-stroke engine when...
