Refused renewal insurance - but why?

I've called Greenlight and they simply said there's 'been a problem' with my insurance. I asked to speak with a Manager, but he was on the phone. I was promised a call right back... that was 2 hrs ago :dapprove: I've now renewed with Brentacre :approve: I'm guessing that skyinsurance's...

Refused renewal insurance - but why?

I have been insured with Greenlight for the last year. My renewal is due next month. Today I received a letter stating that they are no longer willing to insure my vehicle (172 chipped/lowered/mod exhaust/filter) for a further year. I am 55 yr old with 9+ years NCB. No explanation is given. I...

    New Steering Wheel

I'd replace my disintegrating s/wheel, but only with one with an airbag. Is there any alternative to a Renault wheel?

OK thanks for that, so that just means the heated mirrors not working :dapprove: Don't suppose anyone knows if it has its own fuse?

    172 mirrors - heated? light?

Yep, thinking about it not sure how else they would be turned on? Does your wing mirror adjuster cluster light up?

    172 mirrors - heated? light?

I had my 172 for about 9 months now and only just noticed: 1. Heated mirrors not working... does a 172 have them as standard? 2. No glow light on mirror adjusters on the armrest? Have I a problem? Thanks. Jon

    Black plastic bits

A few weeks ago I managed to get polish/wax on the black plastic bits on the mirror backs, washer and fog light surrounds. Now they show a whitish smear :dapprove: Going to Halfrauds tomorrow - what's best product to buy to restore them to a nice black shine please?

    I NEED a 172!!!!!

Right... I'm an 'oldie' to most on here (I am 54), so bear with me! I have owned many cars in my time, before buying my 172 last February I was running my 3rd Golf GTI. I can tell you that the 172 is definitely the most fun car to drive than anything I have owned before. No it's not the...

    toyo proxy t1 r ? anyone got any ?

Toyo UK came back... they recommend inflating to the Renault handbook pressures for Proxes on the standard wheels (195x45R16's).

    toyo proxy t1 r ? anyone got any ?

Is that 15k Miles? Be good if it were! (he says hoping) :approve: I just changed mine this morning from fairly dubious Contis to T1-R's. First impressions are that they are softer... not getting so may jolts and bumps from the road, though I am not sure what pressure NTS have put in them...

    Repairable rim?

No I am not too fussy about my rims, all the others have slight scuffs to the rims by kerbing, but this one is by far the worse. When the car was MOT'd a few weeks ago, K-Tec recommended it should be seen to. Now I am thinking I should but unsure if I should go for all repairs, all original...

    Repairable rim?

I inherited this NSF wheel when I bought my Clio back in February. Do you think it's repairable? If so how much you reckon it would cost? Thanks. Jon

    Servicing

I had mine done at K-Tec a couple of months ago and have had no issues with it. I wasn't aware they fitted their own kit... thought it was Renault OE? My question to the local garage would be on the lines that have they done this before? ... and are they aware of the tools required? £230.00...
